Things you just can't resist

In my current game (I'm playing as Churchill) I have both Ramesses II and Tokugawa as my vassals, and I'm friendly with Joao II. Now Alexander who has Huayna Capac as his vassal declares war on Joao, who in turn asks for my assistance which I agreed to. So now we have a real live "furball" world war going. I took Athens, liberated one of Joao's cities, and have a stack marching on Cuzco. I've lost a minor border city, but should have it back in two turns. Now in London up pops none other than George S. Patton. Well I usually just use great generals for military academys, but under the current circumstances I just coundn't resist having "'Ol blood and guts" lead my tanks into combat. This is actually the first time I've ever used a great general like this,but who better to lead my troops on Cuzco! What are some of the things that you just can't resist?

BTW: The kicker here is that in the midst of all this I'm trying to build space ship parts!

He may be the best leader for a Cultural Victory, but whenever I play as him I'm consumed by a bloodlust that only Domination or Conquest can satisfy.

Hehehe, that's a good one... India really needs a military UU. I always thought that a gurkha (replacing rifle) would be a good one.

Three words, flood plain tiles. I must use all of them. Even if it means I have the most unhealthy city ever. The tiles are great, but I will place cities in less than optimal places just to use them all. I don't know why.

Whoo Hoo! The war is over! The Lindy allies prevail and vanquish the evil Alexander/Capac axis! Having a great general in a combat stack really adds a woah factor to war... I just might have to try that again! Like in my next game!

Warrior rush on the cute, tiny, undefended capital of an uncaring neighbour.
And exploiting the Barbs idiotness in the random event. Leave them conquer one or two enemy capital, look at the archers leave them undefended, sneak up with a warrior.

Pillaging someone back into the stone age if they won't be my friend (assuming a war of conquest isn't an option).

Stirring up trouble for the heck of it... great with enthusiastic but generally incompetent warmongers like Isabella or Montezuma.

Compulsively rushing easy targets. I really should not kill off the peaceful builders, then complain that everyone left on my continent is a jerk.

Killing off Mana Musa. As soon as I have a tech lead, he needs to die.

Ignoring short-term benefits. I hate placing a city in a non-ideal location on or right next to resource to reap immediate benefits.

I often go to war with civs that are behind in tech, even if I have no true reason to do so, and even if I'm not going for a Conquest or Domination victory. In my last OCC I wiped out both of the civs on my continent, just for the sake of it that was bad though, as it turned out Zara Yaqob wiped out the 3 other AIs on his continent, and then came over to my continent and then won a conquest victory as I built my spaceship

It was an interesting game...I had require complete kills on and conquest and space race as the only two victory options. It was really funny though...I had two mechanized infantry that ran around my continent trying to survive also, he razed my capital! Very odd, considering it was a quadruple holy city and had most of the worlds wonders.

Gurkhas would be good except they are a people chiefly from Nepal... and the military unit of the same name was British...

According to Wiki, Asoka was a bit of a conqueror for a while but I can't find what his favourite units were. Anyway, it says he eventually gave up warmongering after seeing the "sins and bloodshed" it caused (although I also note that didn't realise this until he have conveniently beaten everybody... coincidence? )

Conclusion - maybe India are fine without a military UU... FW is pretty cool after all

I must found every city in the city list of the civilization I'm playing for some reason. It doesn't feel right not being able to see all the cities of a country that I always see on a real-world map.

If I have to, heh heh, 'make room' for my own cities, so much the better.
