Also I thought I'd make a case about the nature of this scenario; it is not like a WWII or Napoleonic scenario where you try to make major conquests in Europe, it is a colonies PBEM. I don't know why we're sitting here talking about conquering the Netherlands or saying "see you in London". This wasn't intended in the creation of the scenario, this is about limited overseas wars and trade mainly, not "build units and kick some ass". I'm not complaining, I just thought I'd point that out.

The list of all casualties until now. (just the numbers)
English: 14
French: 65 () Is France willing to accept even more casualties?????
Spanish: 62 (again ) Will Spain continue it's "war of losses"?
Dutch: 35 (the Republican ideals are worth to die for)

What exactly do you two plan to gain; Bruges is a pile of rubble, Liege has been reduced to a camp of refugees in tents, and Antwerp will likely suffer the same fate. Over a hundred units, hundreds of gold, and what the hell for?
BTW you're starting to sound like a broken record steve![]()
And what keeps you from launching another war on us in 5 to 10 turns when you have rearmed?

Even if I have Antwerp, you having Liege and Bruges is geographically abrasive. Belgium naturally belongs in the Franco-Dutch sphere of influence.
The above is merely your opinion, not a fact and I of course dont agree with it. I would have been perfectly happy to coexist with you after you took Antwerp.
Because I don't like having a war in this scenario and I would have nothing to gain from attacking you (not to mention that I'd lose). I planned on taking the cities that should only be Dutch, and then inflict so many casualties that it is no longer worthwhile for you and a peace treaty is signed, just like any other war. This isn't 1945.
