This is really dicking me off!

Started playing Civ IV bts recently with a friend, we play it hotseat and seem to be having a lot of CTD's under Windows 7. They are pretty random though today I've managed to isolate a crash which might mean something to someone on here!

I've noticed that if I retire and I have a unit with a movement point left then the game will CTD.

If I move the unit then retire all is fine, wierd huh? Being an old game I hope maybe this has been identified and fixed already, I have searched and came up with nothing specific, so if anyone can help and point me in the right direction it would be massively appreciated!
