LOL!

Maybe the leaderheads too. *crosses fingers*

I honestly cant see them not having them change-it would be a step backwards-It just wouldnt make sence. Who wants to have a modern-looking leader to negotiate with in the ancient times?! I'll be reallly upset if they dont change. Unfortunately we've seen no evidence of leaderheads changeing and I think a few have claimed to read/heard somewhere that they wont be changing. I dont know... All we can do is hope for the best till we get a definite answer or until the game comes out! *sigh*

:goodjob: yay this is my 2nd succsesful thread

lets celebrate!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, and it would be ahistorical to have it appear at any time other than the late 14th century, or from a non-western European country. I say we get rid of it all together, or rename it as the "Late Holocene" or the "Early Modern Period" -- since everyone is familar with those terms.

In all seriousness, what do you propose they call it?

um... what the heck is late holocene?

(guess "everyone is familiar" isn't so accurate)

Clearly, the posters here are Off Topic forum material. ;) See you all soon; I hope. A far as eras go, I'd rather see a banner show up the read:

You've enterd the era of Birdjaguar's supremecy

That is the single funniest thing I have read this year.

And English words. The game is written in English.

Maybe in the Chinese version they say "Three Kingdoms," and in the Japanese version they say "Warring States."

:D

What else do you prefer?

Ancient era, Medieval era, Renaissance era, Exploration era and Industrial era are all European concepts (the last one also including America). Other than the modern era, there are no uniform eras that would apply universally across the globe.

First of all the Ancient, Renaissance, Exploration, and Industrial all have generally applicable definitions (not that they would all be entered into at the same time across the globe...but everyone could be said to 'enter/exit them' at some point.)

Medieval Is distinctly European...But Middle Ages is not (although Middle Ages really isn't descriptive..it falls into the same category as Ancient and Modern, but even less useful as Ancient and Modern can be defined as 'endpoints')
