Time between Turns??

i amplaying civ3C on tiny map size with only one opponent. i have a modern computer...p4 2.66/712mb ram/128 mb geforce 5200....why is the time between turns outrageous....about 1 minute!?!?! is there some setting i can change to speed this up?

I would say that there is something wrong with your system or your install. I play on a lesser system than that and can play standard 8 player worlds with less time spent than that.

One thing you can easily do, though, is to turn off a lot of the animations (ctrl-p)

If you have other programs running in background while you're playing, shut them down before you start Civ3.

Yep, even on huge maps with maximum Civs, my computer does just fine in between turns.
