Time for Sox fans to worry yet?

It's about time someone did something about A-Rod. Now I'd like to see Soriano win the MVP and Texas beat out the Yankees in the playoffs...

Varitek didn't do anything except scratch A-Rod's face  . He was
awfully brave to talk junk with his mask still on  , and almost got
bodyslammed  , plus he hurt his wrist :shakehead.

Texas would have a good chance to beat the Yanks, they can hit with them
;) , something Oakland hasn't been able to do  . It is just a question of
if there pitching will hold out and they can make the playoffs :scan: .

that last sox/yankees seires was HUGE for Boston. While they didnt make up that much room in the standings, they look to have their mojo back. THe sox are a little streaky, but when they have the fire with them, they can be the best team in baseball.
Makes up for those poor showings in baltimore

It's all the Orioles' fault!

They're 10-1 against Boston and 2-9 against the Yankees. :nono:

Orioles are  , but they have that same "complex" vs the Yankees. . For some reason they usually hit very good vs the
Red Sox :crazyeye: . Now there is a team that NEEDS some pitching-
starters and relievers :( .

I love the idea of Soriano winning MVP and Texas beating the Yanks in the playoffs.

If you look at the tapes, you can't see Ortiz actually throwing a punch. I know the Fox guys said he did, but I haven't seen any evidence of it yet. The hearings should be interesting.

They (not the Fox Guys) don't say anything about Tanyon Sturtze doing anything offensive, even though it was clear that he grabbed Gabe Kapler by the neck to fight one-on-one with him (didn't turn out that way).

Too bad this happened during the summer when so many people are on vacation. There are some people that I would have liked to see the reactions of... :(

One more thing:

The views presented in this broadcast do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Fox
Or something like that.

Although very sissy like, he definately was trying :mischief: , I was watching
on tv and they showed it about 100 times during the game. Trot was the
one that should be  , he tried to throw 3 or 4 sucker punches on
Sturtz while he was down  . I used to like him alot- He is from NC,
Wilmington New Hanover HS and my nephew played against him- but not now.
He deserves the IR, he should have stayed out of it  .

Well, at least he wasn't spouting profanity like A-Rod was. And what can he do when his teammate is being dragged by the neck? I appreciate his actions. :goodjob:

His actions were punk, he could have grabbed Sierra. Oh yeah, he wasn't
on the ground already  . He did probably save his team member from
a :whipped: ing.

Yeah, that's good enough for me. :p

It was all chaos, I can't really blame him for fighting in a brawl. :)

Borkowski  , shut down the Red Sox last night, Yanks won.

Are they going to make ANY deals? :scan:

The Orioles are only 7-3 against the Sox, definately not 10-1, but either way, it's ugly. And the Nomar trade may help them pull out the WildCard, then Cabrerra will make an error in game 7 of the ALCS, go figure.

Going to travel to Detroit to take in the Sox at Comerica Park for the first time. I certainly hope that the game's pretty good...
The Sox stand a darn good chance, the Tigers have dropped more than a couple up until now... and Lowe will probably have a decent time tonight. From what I hear, home runs are hard to come by there. :)

Have a great time, maybe the weather will be OK too  :scan:

Travel shouldn't be a problem; it'll be mostly sunny all day for the LOOOONG drive as well as mid-seventies for pretty decent comfort. I don't have to worry about long pants or anything at least. :)

For a Bostonian, you don't seem to understand how things work around here.

We'll get to the WS against the Cubs, and lose because Nomar gets three different game winning hits.

It'll be the Curse of the Nomino.

Go figure, I watch the one game that the Sox dropped this weekend. :) Anyway though, the defense looked a ton better than I remember it; the Tigers were the ones giving up infield singles on more than one occasion. And Boston had a golden chance to sweep, especially after the Tigers brought in their middle relief with the bases loaded and WALKED in a run. Oh well, they still took two... :)
