To Mouse or Not to Mouse

Just a quick question asked because many threads are requests for keyboard shortcuts ... do most people use the mouse or prefer the keyboard when playing

I find that I use mouse for most commands

Mouse for city zooming, diplomacy, and clicking on stuff in the advisor screens. keyboard for everything else.

I use the keyboard to start orders, and complete the orders with the mouse. For example, G+mouse click to move units. I also use the keyboard to navigate other screens (F1-F11, Ctrl+Shift+D, Esc). Other than that I prefer to use the mouse.

Actually I forgot about the F-buttons ... those take preference to the mouse

Oh yes, I forgot about the stack commands. I use keyboard-mouse for those.

I use both. If I'm tired I use mainly mouse (except for Fkeys). I always have all the advanced command buttons showing so for example I can command a worker to build a road to the far side of the continent without touching the keyboard once.

I say bring on the voice commands for Civ 4 !!! lol

For almost all PC applications, you see that the more experienced people get with them, the more they will use the keyboard.
Keyboard works faster and with fewer errors.

KB for commands, mouse for pointing at tiles to move stacks to and double-clicks on cities.

Mostly mouse. The things I do most often (tho' not exclusively) with the keyboard...J, F, R, B. Also sometimes I randomly punch the Function keys until the screen I want comes up (crash-tastic )
P.S. I'm also a laptop user; when I played Civ 2 on a desktop I was a proper keyboard man.

I find mistakes happening with the mouse has a lot to do with how fast your PC is. When I play at a friend's house mistakes are rife due to his old PC groaning under the weight. When I play on my newer PC there is 0.001% mistake rate. The mouse works truer.

95% mouse...I don't play enough to have memorized all the keyboard commands.
