Look in the manual, towards the back. Just before the 'Limited License' there are all sorts of warnings. While sleep disorders and addiction are not mentioned, if you took a break every hour, you probably wouldn't have your problems.

BTW, I've got the same problems! :crazyeye:

26, and I think I've played Civ since about 1990 or so -- soon after whenever it was that the first Amiga version of Civilization was released. So yeah, 13 years and still loving it.

Just one more turn... ;)

I'm 51, and my wife doesn't think I'm too old to play. She thinks I'm too old to stay up until 2 or 3 in the morning when I have to work the next day.

Hmmm. My wife keeps asking what I am going to be when I grow up.... I posted my age early in this thread, 67. If you can't sleep, planning your next mocve, you might as well stay up and do it.

You'll never get too old to play games. And too young is relative term also. I started playing civilization games on my early teens. Now I'm somewhere around twenty.

i just turned 39, and have been playing games since i was very very young. I remember thinking how cool avalon hill games would be if they were on computers. we still havent reached the level of AI that I had dreamed of, but we are getting there. I'm glad to see so many elders playing :) thank goodness civ wasnt around when i was young, or i'd grown up a hermit, but at least I know how i'll spend my retirement.....LOL

..............play a strong chess-playing program like Fritz 8. If you can beat it in Championship mode, you're probably good enough to turn Professional! ;)

EMan, 53.

I think its kind of cool to have a game with such a large variety in ages. It gives you that experiance of age (no offence) and that well somthing has to come from youth :) (again no offence)

28 now, and have been hooked since I got my hands on the original Civ back in the early 90's, just after it's release.

I just don't think my wife understands;)

Im 13 and proud of it. I saw that in someone's signature and thought it described me.

The signature would be that of Civanator... and it said "I'm 12 and proud of it" instead of 13. (If I'm thinking right)

yes thats him.

34. My girlfriend thinks me playing is kind of cute in some boyish sort of way. I'll bet that will change in ten years. I hope she gets used to the idea by then.

Oh yeah, played Civ since the firsts copies of it arrived to Finland, back in '89 or so. I knew Sid may come up something good since had played A LOT OF Pirates! before that.

38 - old enough to remember my first computer, a Tandy TRS-80, way back when I had to store my little BASIC programs on a cassette tape, because I didn't have a floppy drive - old enough to remember thinking "why would anyone need a 500 megabyte hard drive, how could you ever need that much data?"

I am 23. Playing since Civ I times (1993 -1994 or so) even considering that there were very little computers here in lithuania in these times. I was completely chocked when i saw Civ I. I still think that Civ I has some features which just must be in any Civ Series ! Well i easily imagine myself being 100 years old and playing civ :)

Yeah my gf thinks it's cute too, I even get her to play sometimes - she has beaten monarch level!

But, I do get into trouble if she even gets the faintest whiff that she has to compete with CivIII for time with me! :(
