will this feature be included in the Multiplayer expansion pack? As it stands now, i dont think selling or buying units with the AI will be useful cuz they dont really know how to make a deal but when i will be playing with my buddies, i would love to sit back and watch two of them go at it while i supply both sides with weaponry ;)
I know that currently you can trade workers by having them sit in your capital. It would be great if you could trade units other than workers and it would add a whole new aspect to diplomacy.
Selling weapons to civs that were recently at war or were close to war would damage your reputation or somthing like that cuz that would be disrupting peace. Would make having allies actually useful cuz you could get units from them at a cheaper price or they would sell units more readily. This feature was included in Civ2, unfortunately it was very limited cuz you could only trade 1 unit at a time. Hopefully that won't be the case if Firaxis would add it to civ 3. So does anyone know anything about unit trading, any rumors?

I remember also that if you gave them an advanced unit that they never knew of they would learn the tech for it as well.

We should be able to trade/gift units without giving away the tech. There are scores of countries in the world with aircraft and tanks although they don't have the ability to manufacture them.

This was brought up in the Poly chat and they said they were looking into it for PTW and it's pretty high on their wishlist.

I wpuld like it. If there is a civ that trades with me, then I would make sure it stays alive. Even more so, if the aggressor doesn't like me.

so its a pritty good possibility that Firaxis would include this feature in the PTW expansion pack cuz a lot of people want it?

I think it is unwise to "presume" that ANYTHING is a sure bet or a good possibility to be in either PTW or any future patch, for civ3 current or ptw.

Better to wait & see, so as not to have dashed expectations ...

Although so far, Firaxis has done a pretty good job of listening to the players, and giving them what they want. I think the only reason you won't get that ability in PtW is because of a technical problem in trying to make it work.
