YOu look at countries like Israel, Japan and UK, and you can see one thing they all have in common...they are small countries with a much, much better army then their nighbours...or equal.

Realistically, in a civ game, how many cities can you pop up in their territories? With Israel it would probably be only be 1, Uk maybe 3 or 4 and Japan like 5., depending on you squeeze them in.

It would be nice, if you were to give a sort of training to your army.

All it would do, is increase the amount of shields it costs...and price technially as well.

In return, you get, let's say your normal tank...plus bonuses, depending on how much you wanted to spend on it.

Another idea, was economic reforms, compare France to the UK. France is double it's size, yet they have the same GDP. (more or less).

What do you think of those ideas? =\

All the country you said would be 1 city, especially on world map. On world map, the whole Europe can be two or three non-ICS cities

Really? I must play Civ 3 again...too used to civ 2.

Byt my point still stands..., a well trained army, can be just as good as the biggest army. =)

Maybe if we have barracks, and much more expensive superbarraks improvements, giving +1 and +2 experience.

I doesn't change anything. The huge coutry would be able to build those superbarracks, and the number would be more important anyway

It is impossible to represent all the small counries in europe with individual cities on a world map, its just not the way the games is meant to be played. however, i think the super barracks idea is good, or perhaps the military academy should produce eleite units

I think China would crush Japan in a war.

I guess its why this wasn't done before and it seems conclusive enough.
