The Traveller's Sandals Memento (Gain 10 of the corresponding yield whenever you spend an Attribute Point) does not work.

It's easy to test by starting a game and pairing it with one of the other mementos that grants an Attribute Point (e.g. Shakokidogu for 1 Cultural Attribute Point). When you spend that attribute point, your cultural yield doesn't change.

I'm not sure that's a valid test. First, I don't think it changes your culture yield. Second, even if it does, did you settle a city first? Not sure your yields will change if you have no cities.

Further, I think it just gives the culture to the next Civic you research, like a goodie hut. Did you start the research on a Civic first? At that point Civics should be cheap so you'd probably lose a turn off it's research time.

Edit: I just tested myself. Machiaveli/Aksumite (No culture bonus). Used the Sandals and the Shakokidogu. I built a City and it auto starts Chiefdom for 10 Turns of research. I then used my Culture Ateibute point and my Chiefdom research changed to 9 Turns. Still on T1. Also just for completionist sake; My Yields did go up to 11 due to the +1 Culture per Age on Palace from spending the attribute.

So it appears to be working. If Chiefdom costs 100 Culture on standard speed, I just added 10 Immediatly taking it to 90, and at 11 Culture per turn it will take me 9 Turns to complete. If I didn't get the bonus 10 culture it would still take 10 Turns because 11x9=99, leaving 1 more culture which would mean Chiefdom still takes 10 Turns to complete.

The description is “gain 10 of the corresponding yield.”

So when you say, “I don’t think it changes your yield”, you’re making my point.

Yes, I tried settling a city first. Same result. It shouldn’t matter. Before settling a city your yields are 0. You can add 10 to 0. I also looked at the civic progress when cashing in the attribute point after choosing the first civic. No progress is made on the civic.

It doesn’t do anything.

If it is actually intended to only give 10 once (not every turn going forward), that would be absurd. 10 gold or culture or science one time is basically worthless by the middle of the ancient era. The intent surely must be for every turn going forward. This is also evident in how it’s worded. Fixed bonuses are worded as e.g “+100 culture”. Not “gain 10 of the yield”. It’s worded correctly, it just doesn’t do anything.

Gain 10 of the corresponding yield means you gain 10 Culture/Science/Production/Influence one time each time you spend an attribute point. It doesn't add 10 per turn for the rest of the age.

Agree, it is lackluster but that is what the Momento does.

Try this test. Get the Sandals and Treaty of Kadesh (+1 Influence Attribute) take whatever leader/civ you want.

Spend the point from Treaty, your Influence immediately goes up by 10, but the yield stays the same. That is how it should work. Yes, lackluster
