Trouble downloading scenarios

This is what I do:

1. Download the .biq file into Civ 3/Conquests/Scenario folder with WinRar
2. Download the actual scenario into the same folder with WinRar
3. Open up C3C and go to Civ Content
4. I click on the cenario. I can pick my country, change diifficulty, etc.
5. When I start the scenario, it gets stuck on "Configuring scneario"

What am I doing wrong.

System specs:
2.4 ghz
256 MB
60 gb
64 mb ddr-sdram

Some have big maps or lots of civs. If so, it'll load for a while, but it probably just seems frozen. If you don't like that, look for smaller ones (they can be just as fun.)

I have gotten a few to work. A small island scenario, but also a large Meditteranean scenario (made by TETurkanahan)

However, I have left or a few hours only to come back with it still stuck.

It is just loading, some scenarios take ungodly times to load, it once took me a day to load a particularly large WW2 scenario.

Yeah, it takes time, like they said. Many scenarios (or even just save games on HUGE (362 x 362) maps) take a while to load. The World 2004 scenario can take around 7 hours to load if you don't use a savegame they provide at the beginning...

Do you mean it takes 7 hours to get itself configured after you pick the dificulity ect.? Or are you saying it takes 7 hours to downloads something from the net?

I don't exactly where to put this question, but I have a difficulty with downloaded Scenarios... I download, place the *.biq file in the folder Civilization III\Conquests\Scenarios and try to load with through Conquests but... rien... the scenario doesn't appear...

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?!

Errrr.... thanks! I was trying under "Conquest"...

there is a LOT of scenarios there, even some discussed here! GREAT!
