I really don't understand what's happening with my cities.
The citizens always say they are 100% too crowded, the city population is growing but the white limit of the city doesn't grow and if I look at the aerial view of the city it's always a little city with 2 or 3 houses, even if I have 10 citizen...
Oh and I can't get my cities grow further than 12 citizen, even if the food storages are full!
Please someone help me !

That's how it is. They should make the aerial view of the city much more fancy, with more buildings and housing and stuff. Usually cities can't go past 12 unless you have built the hospital. If it is not this then I don't know what's wrong.

The message "It's too crowded" means you don't have enough happiness going into that city. You may have enough food for more people and may even grow, but that will lead to more unhappiness, unless you get more luxuries or more happiness improvements in the city. With enough happiness, you will grow to size 6 until you have an aqueduct, or the city it built on a river, then you can grow to size 12. Hospitals allow a city to grow past size 12.

OK thanks, now I understand
I should have studished more the civilopedia :)
Ah and something else, I quite always have people happy or people not happy at all in my cities, I don't have any content citizen!
And how do you make the white limit of your city grow?
My culture is growing, so the green limit grows but if I go in the city, the white limit doesn't grow.
Is it normal?
thanks

I thnk what you mean is the difference between to boundries of the workable squares for that city (white limit) and the cultural boundries (green limit.)

The white is maxed out after you expand once. It simply shows the squares you can have citizens work in. The "green" (in your case) is the cultural boundry. Once luxuries or resources are within these boundries, connecting them by road makes them available to be used in all connected cities, whether or not the square is within range to be worked by a citizen.

Once you get past a certain number of happiness producers ( Haven't looked at it very hard so don't have when it happens) you will at most have only one content citizen. Depending on whether the happiness/unhappiness modifiers works out even or odd depends on whether you have a content citizen.

Just be patient you will have cities with many people .... If you want to go the the max, just irrigate all the land around the citie.
Dont't forget of course to build a hospital. :)
