Trouble with cookies

One day I got fed up with my privacy being leeched out of my computer with cookies, so I set IE6 to prompt for all first and third party cookies. I can also set IE6 to always accept or always block specific cookies. However, I am always logged out of civfanatics when I leave (i have account preferences set to keep me logged in). I've yet to be prompted for a "civfanatics.com" cookie, and I know it's not on the blocked list. It should be noted that Apolyton keeps me logged in between visits. Anyone have any ideas (besides resetting privacy level to medium)?

btw, I've also ticked the box for "always enable session cookies", so I'm not sure what else I need to do.

Have you tried adding the forum URL (forums.civfanatics.com) to the allowed Web Sites list and see if it makes a difference? You can do that at the Privacy tab of the Internet Options.

Actually, what I did was to delete and re-add my Favourites. That seems to have sorted it out.

Update:

Re-inputting my favourites only meant that I was kept logged in once between visits and then it was abck to being logged out between visits. So I reset IE6 Privacy to default and tried the Medium and Medium High settings but I'm still not being kept logged in between sessions.
