TSG40 Game in Progress

You can't embark from uncontrolled territory? Or do units outside your territory not get the embark upgrade?

If a unit is outside your territory when you unlock embarkation, they have to return to friendly territory to pick up the upgrade.

Fun with a gotm! First one for me and fun to try a civilization I haven't played before.

A little report on turn100.

4000BC - 2000BC
I moved my settler to found the city on the hill next to the river. I decided to go for GL - NC one city start. I founded my pantheon with "Goddess of the hunt" built a scout first and got some quite nice huts (2 free techs, mining + animal husbandry). This allowed me to side step and tech Trapping while working my way to Writing + Calendar. Finished great library in 2120 BC.

2000 BC - 1000 BC
Built NC in 1680 and then founded my second city in 1400 BC. I built up my infrastructure and started killing off barbarians more seriously with the celtic UU. My next tech goal was Theology and then Education but I did quite a lot of deviations, getting Mathematics for a nice market in Edinburgh and also built a water mill there. Got a golden age thanks to happiness surplus.

1000 BC - 375 BC (turn 100)
Got my third settler out pretty quick and founded Cardiff as a coastal city. Got representation policy for another golden age. Founded my religion (third religion ot be founded) and went for Tithe and padogas. In the last turn Completed Civil service and now researching Education! 4th settler going west. Only have one happiness left and limited dublin to size 5 and building a colosseum there. Cardiff is growing so I have some issues. Soon have enough faith to purchase a pagoda though. I have 721 gold saved up and maybe I can use some of that to either buy colosseums or ally geneva for a while. Probably colosseums are better for circus maximum.

My plans now is to get Education and then acoustics. Get my 4th city founded, fix happiness and grab 4 free celtic UB with Legalism policy.

Policies:
Tradition (opened)
Liberty: Citizenship, Representation, Republic

Fun with a gotm! First one for me and fun to try a civilization I haven't played before.
Welcome to CivFanatics and GOTM. :wavey:

Good luck with your game. :high5:

This is my first GOTM and first post, though as an on-again off-again civ player over the years, I've lurked on these forums a bunch, very helpful stuff.

After a long layoff from Civ, I picked up G&K and promptly lost my first game on King (everyone kept DOWing me so I decided they all had to die. It worked for a while, then France came at my trebs and swords with gunpowder units and I knew it was over). Second game I went back down to Prince and won a domination easily.

So obviously I'm not a great player. Third game was this one.

I went in with the idea to attempt the tradition opening for the first time, but it didn't really work as planned. First, I scrambled to get all those luxes hooked up only to find no one to trade with, boo. I did manage to pump out 4 cities fairly fast (in the standard locations), but then more bad luck basically. I built a trireme in the west coast city and went exploring in what ended up being the wrong direction. By the time I finally found Carthage, Sweden and Maya in the east, their borders were too big to go around. Then Dido DOW'ed and I couldn't really sail through that sea anyway because of all her boats there. The war is still going to this day after probably at least 100 turns. But the term "war" is a bit of a misnomer. Once every 10 turns a boat comes into range and I kill it. No one has ever attempted to land on the other person's shore.

Eventually, I did get a caravel and discover the other civs. A couple more frustrating, probably noob related, things happened. 1) I thought I was in renaissance and could start rationalism, but i misread the tech tree so I had to get a different policy, and 2) after I finally discovered the civs and got friendships with them, no one else had enough money to sign RAs! Eventually by checking their stack every turn I got them all signed, but still... annoying. I thought about gifting them the money, but decided to spend it elsewhere. And a lot of times I had to trade them extra money to get them to sign anyway. Lousy jerks.

So finally I did pull ahead by a good amount in score and I'm out-teching everyone by a good amount. So I should win easily, barring everyone DOWing and nuking me. Theoretically they're all friendly pretty much with DOFs, so why would they do that? But then, they are not to be trusted. Anyway, it won't be an amazing score, but should be a win.

This was my first try at a GOTM and I failed big time - I didn't read the post thoroughly and went for diplo victory instead of space. The map seemed pretty perfect for OCC which I haven't tried yet in G&K, so I went for the elusive OCC/diplo combo. Thats another thing i've never done before because it's pretty much impossible at the higher levels.

It was a really fun game, I'm a few turns from victory. But I feel pretty stupid :(

Welcome to GOTM. :)

Not really a problem. You may win by any Victory Condition you wish, there is no restriction. We decided to designate a VC to make the games more comparable as we learn how to play Civ5. Please feel free to submit. :yup:

OK I settled a little up north to get the river and not be open to coastal attacks, lol, but that all went out the window later. Not easy terrain this, buy any means, but I got my main 3 cities up and running. Decided to take out the City State of Geneva (they went bankrupt anyway, as they were giving many tributes to Ethiopia), to give me most of bottom half of map, but I kinda regret doing so now. Ethiopians are now dwarfing me at turn 213. Not gonna win this one I think :(

Hi Guys,

My first GOTM, hope you'd enjoy the little story...
till Turn 100

Comments, ideas, strategy are welcome.
I'm afraid I'm late, producing few scientific points at 100 turns...
What can I improve, which techs to prioritize ?
Do I need an army? Do I need granaries ?
Do I need to chop all those forests ?
Thanks for reading
[/COLOR]

-----T1
Edinburgh created
starts a Monument

-----T2
Religion, oh yes the new stuff in G&K…
already trying to handle the policies properly.

-----T3
Warrior goes up east and find La Venta

"Woods, woods, woods"

-----T4
Pick up Goddess of the Hunt, with those all the foxes around…

-----T5
Salt… a new kind of ressources in G&K.
Warrior heading south… looks like an island or a fractal here.

Warrior found a ruin, give me 20 pts of culture
and discovers a new G&K remarkable site…

-----T8
go for Tradition, a new CS down south. Let's go there

-----T9
Pottery discovered, Monument done and working on a scout.
---> Writing

-----T10
found a barbarian camp. Don't kill my lonely warrior !

-----T12
took a french leave, the barbarians ignored me. Thanks
Remind me something, oh yes, got it :)

"Suddenly I stop
But I know it's too late
I'm lost in a forest
All alone"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0t-d2dNeCFc

-----T13
open Liberty.
Holy smoke, they changed the Liberty tree… can't have a settler right after opening?!
Collective rule, my beloved :(
What am i gonna do?

Scout is ready , let's go north west now !
Worker next
So far, nobody found me. Where are you guys ?

-----T14
found a ruin, 100Gold
Warrior is walking back home to protect my future worker.
Forests all around and more trapping sites.

-----T15
the barbarian brute, already met down south is chasing me on my way home.
Let's flee north once more.
I suddenly realize that I'm searching Writing…5 turns to go.
But my worker will be ready in 12

-----T16
scout finds a new ruin, and becomes then an Archer, keep moving north
and gets surrended by 2 brutes.
Don't kill me, just passing by.

I'm quite lost, should I go for writing or animalH…then trapping ?

-----T20
Scout goes west, finds a ruin, gets "Mining"
Wine, Fishes, Deer. A nice spot for a new city.
A bit far though.

The barbarian brute is bombed by Edinburgh and my warrior finishes the business in 2 turns.
I've made my mind, searching Writing.

-----T21
Republic from the Liberty Tree.
Scout goes east, under the barbarian camp and keep walking
My warrior is promoted. With the sherwood forest around me, I choose Drill.

No one around. Surprising, it should be an island. Great !
But some many woods to chop or not ?

if we go for a scientific victory, the idea would be to get as many as possible RA
in a peaceful world.
Why not ? This is the Olympic Games, let's participate.
Hope I won't be Mr Bean !

-----T23
after many hesitations, Writing… but nobody's around
Should have definitively picked up Animal->Trapping

-----T26
Worker ! At last, works on a farm on the Wheat tile.
Start Library, no no no, start the Great Library (a new feature in G&K, it provides a free library)
26 turns. I won't make it, will I ?

A Settler would have taken 11 turns, and the free settler from Collective Rule will be ready at the same time, round turn 35.

-----T27
animal husbandry
The archer, my former scout goes east near La Venta
(where is it? really?no idea)

Google is my friend and wiki provides a map.
"La Venta is a pre-Columbian archaeological site of the Olmec civilization located in the present-day Mexican state of Tabasco. Some of the artifacts have been moved to the museum "Parque - Museo de La Venta", which is in Villahermosa, the capital of Tabasco."
Ok, thanks, looks nice.

Back on the saddle… I wish I could but
uh, no, damned, no horses around.

-----T28
my archer is under attack, I flee and discover another ruin.

-----T29
la Venta is under attack.
I send my warrior and archer "à la rescousse"
Time for me to be a hero in Mexico and save those pre-columbian treasures.

-----T30
20pts of culture. Good ! settlers will be ready sooner
My army heading towards La Venta, takes ages with such forests

----T32
my archer kills the brute in La Venta. Warrior follows as reinforcement and arrives after the battle. Never mind it's always good to go an exercise, uh !

-----T33
Collective rule gives me the awaited Settler.
Archer is promoted. Barrage1
Blimey, La Venta is still under attack. Let's get rid of them for good.

A moment of panic seizes me.
Where am I going to put my new city ?
I take a deep breath… I'm out to lunch

-----T34
Ok, I made up my mind.
2nd city will on the East, beside the Salt…. no Pepper ?
Archer kills the last brute near La Venta.
Not yet friends?
Come on guy, venga dame un poco de amor y amistad?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xw28PW9lXQ

-----T36
Dublin is created above the wheat resource.
The bent bastard of the nearby camp pops up.
My archer arrives but another rascal à foie jaune… yellow liver scoundrel appears south of Edinbra

Spoiler :
53973655.jpg

-----T37
Trapping discovered.
Near Dublin, it's not one but two brutes I have to deal with.
Another brute in Edinburgh area. Don't touch my worker or die !
Warrior rushes to Edinburgh, through the forests.

Next research Calendar, need to take care of that Wine.
Never heard of any Scottish Wine, I believe we need a new resource "Malt"

-----T38
Brute around Edinburgh died ! I told you to leave me in peace.
You wouldn't listen
Warrior goes to help my archer in Dublin.

-----T40
Archer kills one brute.
Warrior arrives as reinforcement

8 pts of Culture…
Edinburgh working on the Great Lib… in 7 turns…
I have a bad feeling and I decided to focus on production
Only 5 turns left

-----T42
Destroyed the barbarian camp in the suburbs of Dublin. Bye bye
Crossing my finger for the GL.
Worker takes care of the Furs, good … unhappiness grows -1

-----T44
Calendar discovered. What's next?
Drama and Poetry? A new item in G&K… uh another time.
I'm hesitating, since we want a Science Victory, would be a good idea to get plenty of money
and build the Collosus? Great Lighthouse was already built.
Do I need masonry to work on these stones around Dublin?
Archery then…

-----T45
Alleluia, I've built the Great Library.
I'm so proud, pity you couldn't see me at my desk.
Well, now I've to pick up a technology...
15 turns for Philo…in 15 turns I can built a library in Dublin, meanwhile, I can built the National Epic in Edinburgh or something else...
Choose Drama and blahblah… for the National Epic.
My goal : built Hagia Sophia -> create Scientists.

I'm first with 113 points. Nice
Second is unknown at 86pts.

Edinburgh
Worker (9turns) - Food Focus

Dublin
Bought a worker. City didn't grow. Need to search for sailing btw.
-> Library

-----T50
Well, It's not that bad
Only 13 pts of Culture per Turn.
That's lame, mate.
Around -----T100, would be nice to get 100CPT, but one can dream no?
Would be tough without knowing nobody.
Need to search for sailing and meet my future BBFs
Oh yes la Venta loves me… Te quiero tambien :)

Spoiler :
85072979.jpg

Spoiler :

Spoiler :
32052305.jpg

-----T51
Philo will take 11 turns, switch to Sailing and then will go back on Philo.
Need a trireme urgently
Gosh, Edinburgh wants Incense. And La Venta's got it !
But I'm broke, I bought a worker. Not really wise, will have one in 2 turns through Citizenship.
Who wrote " our most sacred rule: don’t replay any turns" ?
Would have been handy… anyway, let's play according to the rules.

On Dublin, after working on the Wheat, worker2 starts mining the Salt?
Worker 1 around Edinburgh on Furs#2

-----T54
Worker#3 is born, Edinburgh starts right away a third settler.
My people are happy, 1 wine and Furs to improve.
Seems to be the right timing.

-----T55
New policy : citizenship
Is 4 workers not too much?
Need some army someday and a trireme ASAP

-----T58
3 workers improving Edinburgh, 1 working in Dublin.
1 archer and 1 warrior and the return of the Barbarian. Dull.

-----T60
A great phophet is born. Well, what's the matter ?
I'm new to G&K. How does it work?
Come on Economic Adviser, enlighten me !

I've found Coolism with this nice Tao logo. Peace on earth mates.

-----T61
Archer and Warrior clean the wood. Drill2, Barrage2

-----T62
A trireme arrives.
Met Dido at last. Nice outfit. She's friendly, that's good.
Let's be friend, of course?
Uh… open border? where it is? and Research A ?

She gave me 215G for furs and Accept Embassy (don't know what it means but sounds fine.)
Bye bye, beautiful Dido.

Settler#3 created.
Where am I going to send him ?
On the wine on the west of the Island, but it's a long trip.
down south in the Woods? too much forests no? and there's still a barbarian hotel.
North, by the river ? Not that bad but La Venta grows...

Edinburgh ->Trireme
Dublin : library in 4T

-----T63
I'm heading north with Settler#3
All my army goes south… well, that's what we may call : the celt coordination.
And they find a ruin I've missed earlier
"Mieux vaut tard que jamais" 'better late than ever"

Well, just provide me a map of the area. Pity.
Now while I'm stuck in deep south, let's get rid of that barbarian camp.

-----T64
Need the wheel to connect my cities.

-----T65
Wanted to create the 3rd city whatever its name would be…
and hesitated on the correct spot. By the river would have been nice, but a little bit too close from Edinburgh. Settlers #3 continues on northwest.
My worker will chop the forest in case of food shortage.

-----T66
1st trireme in Edinburgh, go south, where Dido came
Good, let's meet you my new buddies.
Dublin finished the Library.
What's on the menu now?

Of course, while going north with my settler, 3 barbarians show up.
I could have predicted it, I need to settle fast and bomb them.

-----T68
Cardiff is created, by the river, near the Furs.
Edinburgh is working on the National College and Dublin on a workboat.
My warrior almost die with those barbarians. Archer is cleaning the mess in the south camp.
Need to clean the Northwest corner in a short while to let Cardiff grow in peace.

Searching Bronze Working -> Iron -> workshop :)

-----T69
The cowards barbarian attack my new Cardiff, pride of Wales.
Barb, You'll suffer bloody hell..
Edinburgh focus on the Oracle

-----T70
Time to build roads…
Barbs still poking around Cardiff. Archer on his way northwest, Warrior is recovering
and will join the battle.
Discovered a island south east. Looks empty though.
Well it's not.
Meet Pacal, nice outfit pal. He's neutral.
Accept Embassies, seems the clever move.

-----T71
Iron in 11 turns

-----T72
Dublin, workboat is ready
next -> trireme#2

Without open borders, I need to make a whole turn around Pacal's Island.
Man, come on, let's sign the contract :)
Oh yes, I understood now…
Education gives us RA with the new G&K version… well thanks for letting me now in the first place.
And civil service the Open Borders. Stupid me !
RTFM, I know.
So forgot Iron Working and let's rush towards Education (as we did normally)...

Search Masonry then Maths then Currency then Civil Service then Education.
That's clear in my mind. In 200 000 turns, I'll be ready to get these RA...

And what about construction… sshhhhh shut up
The Lumbermill improvement would be a good thing according to our island filled with forests, wouldn't it ?

Pledge to protect the 2 CS Geneva and la Venta.
Would love to get the incense from them for Edinburgh.

-----T75
Archer arrives in Cardiff and starts to wipe out the Reds.
Warrior still recovering and so slow in the forests.
Workers are building roads. It should be motorways to be so slow.

-----T76
With Trireme#1, a long walk around Pacal's large island let me discover on south west Brussels.
Brussels wants me to get rid of the barbs around her… well I have enough difficulties with my tiny tiny army to keep my island safe. Sorry later maybe, in 200 turns.

Road established between Edin and Dub. Nice.
Let's go and work in Wales guys.

-----T78
Find Colombo.
Barbs, pain in the neck for her too.

Time to be a good boy.. or girl… who am I playing ? It was a SHE I guess.
What was your name again ?
Boudicca, sorry sweetheart.
Give 250 to La Venta… looking for their incense and I'm loaded 480 Gold.

I gave a look at Demographics.
Need to build some army, it's unsafe now.

How do you say ? Pictish Warrior.. Ok, Dublin starts the production.

-----T80
Cardiff finished Monument
-> Library

Trireme#2 finds Dido on NorthEast
Trireme#1 finds Antartica, and turns east…

-----T83
Trireme#2 finds Venice deep south
Trireme#1 discovers someone… I can't tell now
cause I have to choose a Policy.

Took Meritocraty, but no more free Engineer or Artist ? Come on, guys, nobody told me so…
Maybe took the whole Tradition tree would have been clever ?
I know, if I took the wrong path, I'll pay it later and hard :(

-----T84
Meet Gustavus, oh man what a fine red beard you have !
Impressive and friendly, nice.
Living a peaceful world.
Sold him some Furs for 161G and 2GPT

I need to get the incense from La Venta, already gave him 2 x 250… that's a lot.

-----T85
Dido is bribing Geneva
it's ok for this time brunette… that's the game of economics.

my main goal is La Venta.
Let's give them 250 once more.
And now we are allies, gimme gimme gimme the goddamn' Incense.

Cardiff under barbs attack, got my archer upthere.
And workers around…

-----T87
Cardiff is connected, more gold, fine.
Another camp near la Venta.
Those Barbs are killing my patience.

What the f%§k ?
LA VENTA IS NO LONGER AN ALLY… come on I gave you 750Gold, you must be kidding…
If I were to play Bismarck, I would have erased you from the surface of the world…

-----T88
Oracle : mission accomplished…
-> Hagia Sophia next?
My goodness, they change it also : " a free great prophet"
Where the good ole HS ?

Forget it, Granary here I come !

In my ******** mind, I choose Legalism. It's way too early I dunno.
Maybe Representation was better or even starting Patronage ?
What's done is done… A man needs to be a man…Ok John Wayne I remember…
"Never apologise it's a sign of weakness…"

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0041866/quotes

Pickwick is ready Dublin, let's make another one :) (yeah I know how to spell Pictish..)
Need to build army anyway
Dido asks for Declaration of Friendship. Yeah babe, anytime.

-----T89
I want to work on these stone in Cardiff, but I'm so silly
because I haven't yet discovered Masonry… really in T89 ?!!!

Nor optics, masonry, maths Iron… horseback…
Let's search masonry, we'll see for the rest.

-----T92
trireme still exploring here and there…nothing new
Edinb starts on National Epic… huuuhHH

Found Masonry and search Iron.
Some workshops can't harm.

Do I need a fourth city? Maybe
4 or 5 or even 6 cities seems to be the good number for a scientific game…
but everything so slow… is it the G&K add-on ?
On these forests forests forests forests...
Sold Furs for 83G + 5GPT to Dido.

-----T94
Cleaning the Ice northeast with my new Pickwick on behalf of La Venta…
My trireme on the upper west part of the map can't find a living soul.

By the way, how's Pacal? Want some love bro ?
Not yet, he covet my wonders… poor you !
and he's last of the top10.

Army is still behind. Hope I won't regret it later.

-----T95
2nd pickwick
Dublin starts a Granary… maybe not the wisest thing to do.
Will change later, wanna bet ?

-----T97
Iron yeah…
Horseback -> Education for RA

-----T98
Barbs, these Yellow, killed my first Pickwick poking around Northeast.
Pity, national funerals it's not the good way to build an army.
That's a not a wise move.

Geneva wants me to Denounce Carthage… really you must be kiddin'
or do I need to support them?
Dido is a friend, don't want to ruin everything.

-----T99
Pacal wants to be Friend,
yes absolutely Dude.

-----T100
Found Marrarech somewhere downsouth, odd no?
Will discover Maths in 1 T.

Let's see the cities, the religions, policies… stats

Then Public School ASAP ?

Will need navigation though...
to find the rest of my buddies...

Number of cities requested ?
Do I need a fourth city? Maybe
4 or 5 or even 6 cities seems to be the good number for a scientific game…
but everything so slow… is it the G&K add-on ?

All kind of feedbacks, help, tips are welcome

You should change that red text to a different color before the moderators see it.

I'm at turn 226 and have turned my empire around. I gave up on my military strategy after the Pictish Warriors became obsolete and have been building infrastructure. I still feel behind but I'm #2 on science and on score. A big help was explicitly focussing on happiness, particularly the social policy that gives you +1 happiness for walls, castles, etc. Cheap and easy way to manage a conquered empire.

I'm having fun with religion; I've got the #2 religion in the world and just found that the Dutch are heathens, still worshipping their primitive pantheon. Well I found one city at least, and am now using missionaries to try to grow that into a foothold for the one true religion, Shinto. I doubt it will help me win the game but it's fun.

Does culture spread extra slowly through forest? I stupidly wasn't chopping early on and all my cities were very confined. As soon as I started cutting down trees my culture spread much more quickly. More generally are the culture spread mechanics well explained somewhere?

Clearly this is some sort of water map; islands or the like. And the AI has built a huge number of boats, it's the first time I've ever seen proper navies in the game. I guess the AI changes priorities on maps it knows have lots of water? Their boats aren't really doing anything useful, so it seems like a waste.

Well my game is slowly progressing, gonna be mighty close :nuke:

Yeah, I had 2 wars with a 'couple of the participants' along the way lol (no spoilers there) , but I have the new 'Hubble Telescope' at hand, 2 Great Scientist's ready to use, and saving them for later ;), so I may just edge it?, dunno?

Also, a couple of 'nukes' ready, should the Ethiopians get twitchy at end game :)

Not gonna win GOTM, but there ya go lol

Oh, and Isabella keeps offering me Iron every 10 turns, for nothing in return?, I accept of course lol, dunno if this is a bug? (wish I'd met her at start of game lol)

I started it, but then had to take a break for a week or so. The map is pretty big for us slower computer folks. I was doing well enough, but now I must go to war. I won't win the GoTM challenge, but I still might win the game and by science victory. I'm in the lead in science which makes me a magnet for spies, I denounced the Huns but that pissed off other people who then DoW'ed me...

Slowly churning through this game 11 days since I was on turn 106, hard to fit more than 1-2 hours into a play session atm. I was at turn 189 last evening when I saved. Just reached Puplic Schools and finally managed to broker a white peace with Carthage after a 50-60 turn war in which Dido must have lost 15 ships and a whole bunch of pikemen and elephants, was going to push and capture her capital but decided against it in the end. Got 7 cities, four building schools and three still building prerequisites to it. Next goal is chemistry and fertilizer, then industrialization and on to plastics. Then Victory, I hope, still not sure how to best navigate the later end of the tech tree.

Learnt a lot so far in how G&K works and of the new features, that will help me in the future games but probably slow down this game a bit. I think I can manage a sub 300 launch, but thats for the after report to detail. :)

I started to play Civ again recently. First tried my hand at a few old GOTMs to get into it again. Now I bought the G&K upgrade and after a few tries to see how the new mechanics work, I figure it was time to try my hand at this GOTM.

I settled in place. I accidentally moved my warrior the wrong way, so nothing to see if there was anything better. Seems OK though, even though the Celts may thrive better more inland on a river.

Since a science victory is required, rather than focusing on religion I tried for the Great Library. But production output is not very high, so it felt like taking forever. I think I got it around turn 50 and the National College around 60 and only then did I settle Dublin on the coast near the salt. I went mostly for the liberty policies.

By this time it was pretty clear we were alone on the continent with just two city-states. I'm figuring the land is big enough if I can get it all for myself. So even though the CS are on good terms through the barbarian killings, I decide to build a few units to take out the city-states before they get big and costly to take. 3 Pictish warriors and 2 archers take Geneva. I lose one warrior in the process. Another archer and Pictish warrior join them to go after La Venta. It falls a few turns before the 100 turn mark and I now have the continent all for myself.

The leader board shows me at the top score with 3 unmet civs well below. I met only Gustavus, Dido and Pacal and have a trireme out to find the rest. The civs I met so far are all dirt-poor. It doesn't help that Pacal is unfriendly and doesn't want to let me pass. The others are neutral and the reputation of my little army with their useless general will probably dissuade them from invading for a little while at least.

The next phase is to expand into the continent without going unhappy or broke. A severe shortage in luxuries may make that a challenge. Fortunately I chose happiness features for my religion. With a little luck I can annex the city states after a while as they are in good spots and don't want to be at the whim of some stupid AI managing them.

It's fun! Thanks for setting up these challenges. And it's nice to see how everyone deals with the situations differently.
