Can I listen to online radio while playing the game ? any way to do this or do i just plug in and play?

I just fired up one of the radio station on the net, while listing to mp3 off my HD and the game is running and I am on this board.

Of course. I used to listen launchcast. But it slows down my computer(a laptop with P4-2Ghz & 512 MB RAM) along with any other programs. It think it needs a format. Haven't formatted for more than 2 years.

use my MP3 playa' to do that.

Just make sure you turn off the in-game music and everything should work fine... XP has something like 64 channels available for sound, and I don't think Civ3 takes up many at all.

Mostly my own MP3s, but I tune into some radio shows when it suits me...

you could also find some of your favorite songs and then mod civ to play them. all you gotta do is rename them and replace the old ones. Just make sure to back those up

I use winamp when I want some music in the background.
