Turn 200-209

I love wonders, I say build as many as we can.

I'm building a Galleon in Chowderton, I want to put on a grenadier, a cannon and a cavalry, and sail to Epsilon's north coast, it's hardly defended at the moment, and I'd love to take an undefended city. (We have a caravel there to scout).

So we're going to attack them and then vote them in as UN president? LOL

Did we ever respond to Piffle?

No i don't think we did.

By the way, does that mean we should prepare for war? :)

No, we didn't respond to Piffle.

I'm not saying we should go to war, but I think it would be good to have some units on boats to strike if we want to go to war at a certain point in time.

Ok just checking! :)

What should we say to piffle?

Yes, no ,maybe?

I believe Robboo (Aloha) has asked Piffle for their techs as a sign of good faith, I guess we'll wait for that.

Ok, galleon is heading north along the coast and units are heading north along roads so as not to alarm the ever watchful Epsilonians. I think the load should be grenadiers, because we can bombard the cities with frigates.

Adjusted some tiles so Suthern Comfort can finish the forge faster. We need two more then we can build Ironworks if we want.

Also adjusted some specialists to try for an engineer. Our next GP will be Wheelville in about 15 turns with a small chance of an engineer. Chowderton will take 25 turns but has a higher chance of an engineer. What do you want to do?

Finally Piffle has Communism, Assembly line, Railroad and Electricity. Their tech alliance with Epsilon seems firm still and they are not sharing with Aloha.

I don't fancy another artist, so let's go with Chowdertown in 25 turns.

Regarding Piffle, I don't think we should count on them in any way, except as a potential pain... if they're not willing to break a so-called longterm tech alliance with everyone's common enemy, then they are not to be taken seriously, though I guess keeping the nice letters flying back and forth can't harm anyone either.

Troops and ships go north to prepare for a possable invasion. I think we may be able to achieve suprise. Epsilon's frigates are stationary, they don't seem to patrol them each turn. We may be able to find a hole in their sentry net further north. Still don't think we should do it though.

Finished Electricity, no thanks to Piffle. We were saving money for unit upgrades, but if we ditch that plan we can up science a little. Right now Radio in 14 turns.

Started Radio. Uped science so it finishes in 9. I also think we should use the great artist to get 1280 beakers toward it.

The big big story is that I spotted two Epsilonion galleons full of troops. I'm bringing our navy back to protect Chowderton and am pumping out new naval units as fast as we can.

Lightbulb the GA on radio :)

We should try to block all sea tiles next to chowderton (preferably with ironclads) so they have to land their troops first. We should probably start blocking other important cities too, if we can.

Could be going to Piffle, they have a city canal south of the fleet's position.

BTW: it's kind of a give away when you name your cannon strike force 1 and 2!

GA should go towards Radio.

Actually, wouldn't it be better to gather defenders in Chowdertown? Considering the 50% penalty they get for amphibious assault and the fact that they can't really bombard (except maybe a few % by that frigate) before attacking, I think it would be suicide for them to attack amphibiously.
Unless we can destroy the garrisons at sea I don't see much point in wasting ships for this purpose.

If they are going to attack the'll hit us with more than 6 units. So they may just be getting into position.

The problem with ironclads is that they are so slow (move 2) we'd probably never even get a chance to fight. Chowderton is well defended so I'll keep our frigates on the lookout for any invasion force and I'll post some pickets to watch the land bridge from Loco.

Once they determine that we are trying to build the UN there may be trouble.

Ya there deffinatly seems to be something up. I see two more galleons loaded with infantry and Epsilon's frigates look like they are moving to bombard our cities. We should probably take this up with them before I play the save.

Where!? :( (post a srceenie please :))

What #1 is a galleon that can drop 3 infantry on Chowderton next turn.

#2 can drop 3 infantry on Suthn Comfort or Port Tropicana next turn.

Proposed message to Epsilon,
Ahoy The Leader,

Your charter fishing industry sure takes the cake. Six divisions of fisherman just this turn! Well good luck, we hope you pick a winner and all that. One question though, why do all your fishermen wear uniforms and carry rifles?

Fish on,
Team Innovia

We should probably assume a worst case senario no matter what they say. That means civic changes, adjusting production for all military and maybe pillaging some roads.

the big problem is collateral damage, their cannons will hurt a lot of units.
