People of Fanatica, we have landbridge. :D

Upon descending to the northern hills, our Warrior discovered a northeast landbridge that may lead to another continent. Time will tell what exploration will find here, but I suggest that our wandering axeman check it out.

Only other news is that the luxury rate has been raised to 10% and it did make our sole citizen happy. Next turn that citizen will offset the unhappy guy that shows up, and all at the loss of only one turn of research. We will still discover Warrior Code in 9 turns. My thanks to Hygro for the suggestion.

Oh, and our worker moved north to the grassland. Since it looks like he won't complete the road in time for our next Warrior, we may as well build the mine next.

Here's the layout:

Now, things to think about.....

What should Fanatazuma produce next? So far it seems to be between a Settler and a Granary. Anything else we should throw into the mix, or should we just decide between these two?

What should we research after Warrior Code? Of the possible options, Alphabet has had the most consensus. Not only does it allow us the chance for Curraghs, it also makes Mathematics(and therefore Catapults and Statue of Zeus-- with Ivory, of course) a possibility.

Here's the tech tree again for your convenience:

Finally, something's afoot in Goldfields! You can read the new name of the world's #1 city from the pic, 'cause I'm not retyping it.

Yikes, did the city namer get drunk? ;)

On the tech side, alphabet all the way.

On the production side, I'd probably lean towards a granary with what our current exploration has reveiled.

A landbridge! Way cool! :D

I say we build either a granary or a settler next after the second warrior..... We need to expand ASAP.

I'm confused as to why you raised the luxury slider this turn instead of next, but it wont make that much of a difference.

For techs, I say we go for Alphabet. It looks like this map could be navally dominated, hence it'll be quicker to explore this way (with a Curragh)
After the Alphabet, I feel we should go straight for Monarchy. Assuming we get an early-ish golden age with the Javelin Thrower(s), I wouldn't want to let that extra production/commerce go to waste.

Production, i'm feeling more and more inclined towards a settler. At the moment, if we were to build a granary, we wouldn't have the land-improvements to untilise the extra squares being worked. Besides the fact that we would need to raise the luxury slider even more, and/or get some military police. It's a waste.
There's nothing else more important, hence I suggest a settler.

Exploration: Due north again. It will reveal more territory than going North-east.

Btw I don't think Hygro should get credit for the 10% lux thing, we were all thinking it anyway :mischief:

I agree on the settler point, Gainy. The land isn't good enough to be a 4-turn settler factory unless we get a BG from under a tree... So I say we build a settler.

Gah! I'm away from my computer a little bit and suddenly we jump three turns ahead! This is going fast! :)

Btw, the lux looks good, send the warrior north, build settler after warrior and mine the grassland.

I would have prefered that the landbridge didn't exist, but since it does, I really feel like settling it to give us the control of it. We all remember what happened when GCA got the landbridge in PTW?

Stupid GCA... :crazyeye:

Since it is alot closer, I think we can definately settle it soon.

It surely depends on what is on the other side. We should think about that before doing any quick choices, but it surely does look like a good option. :)
