Turning to the 'Dark Side'

I've always done the right thing and life has always been good to me. What really matters if whether you're a positive person or not.

Or, to put it far, far better, in the words of Hilaire Belloc:

The rain it raineth on the Just,
And also on the Unjust fella;
But chiefly on the Just, because
The Unjust stole the Just's umbrella.

My first turn is in music. No more sissy puppy dogs & ice cream songs. I'm listening to Rage Against the Machine, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, old Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer, Megadeth, Suicidal Tendencies, and a few choice songs with lots of color in the air (if you know what I mean). Anyone have any suggestions of heavier, faster, meaner, downright evil music? It seems to drive me, and I haven't had motivation in a looong time.

Rage Against The Machine, Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson all good :goodjob:
Now get yourself some Rammstein, Tool and Sepultura!!!!
And whilst your at it pick up some Fear Factory and Machine Head!
Metallllllll!!!!!!!

And I didn't see any Pantera on your list.
Yeh!! Want angry music?? Then get vulgar display of power!!

Best defense against going to the 'dark side' is playing sports. You release so much energy, learn that 'it is only a game' meaning don't take everything so seriously, and you learn to create social skills which is something most people in depression might feel they are lacking.

Think positively and don't always think the world is out to get you. Find an interest in life that you like and are good at and feel self pride in modestly showing it off. :)

Listen to more cheerful and up-going music, that might help the angry feelings.

Such as: Green Day, Lynrd Skynrd, Joe Walsh, Blink-182, Sum-41, and others.

If anything bands such as Sum 41 and Blink 182 make me more angry!

Can't....take..any..more...songs..about....high....school....girls.....ahhhhhhh!!!!!![pissed]

Personally, I can't take any more songs where all they do is play the percussion and guitar as loud as humanly possible and scream into the microfone as loud as possible. To me, thats not music, just annoying as crap. But yeah, the high-school girl thing is a bit lame, but I listen to the overall sound and mealody rather than specific lyrics.

Dudes, that angrymusic trip is just a sign of pointless anger. Anger but no true belief of better times. If you want to be incited with the will to go on and fight, you ought to listen to some epic metal. Manowar and Rhapsody comes to mind.

Well, I don't normally listen to music because I am angry, more I like music where the band has some anger in it because it makes it seem real. E.g, the political anger of Sepultura. Chaos A.D!!

All the way up to 11 mannnnn! :mischief:

Well well sourboy.Finnally.
I always had troubles but i ive took risks and yeah i got into bad stuff.
but know what?Ive changed back. Not as a love having hippy. but just being me.
a guy who uses strenth and mind, a guy who has contacts with the elite and the scum.
I wish you don't force yourselves into being "evil" just be you. or else there will be one day somebody is going to bring it on.
I'm evil, i know it, its too late for me now.
I can hold it a bit in by torturing flies.( best way to relieve some anger)
so be you, if it is a booksmart or a punk.
don't try to change yourselves into something you really aren't

I agree. Blink 182, Sum 41 and Green Day (well, except for Kerplunk) are utter tripe.

I disagree. I think Joe Queer from The Queers said it best: "What do kids care about more? Politics or Girls?". It's girls.

@sourboy.
King Solomon also notice this in life. But He also knew where this path finally ends up.

Ecclesiastes 7:15 "All things have I seen in my days of my vanity (emptiness): there is a just man that perisheth in his righteousness, and there is a wicked man that prolongeth his life in his wickedness."

Since you don't believe in a God then you don't believe he will judge you. But if you are wrong ...

Industrial techno... especially Hocico, Wumpscut, Suicide Commando, KMFDM.... there is lots of evil stuff.

But if you are wrong you will be judged on your deeds not on what you believed.
or else i think religion is very ignorant

BTW, your observation that evil people are happier is an illusion. Evil people have to live with theirselves. They live lives of delusion and incoherent self-analysis, constantly telling themselves they are good people, but not understanding why they are unhappy.

I am not evil, but I do despise ignorance. In time, the rigth path to follow will be one of wisdom and knowledge.

An eye that sees cannot see itself. Know only life through your own experience. What kind of rewards were you expecting. A big-boobed blonde bimbo and a red corvette? A stack of cash you have to burn to keep yourself entertained? A spot on the next season of the Real World?

Experience and honesty. It is my code. And I am merely content with my life, as happiness is an illusion, and sadness the result of trying to catch the illusion.

I think what he is referring to as 'evil' is the kind of description that *ahem* christians/right wingers etc use for us pot smoking beer drinking sex crazed metal fans. Or something like that. So not really evil, just doing what some 'more conservative' people consider to be 'bad' things.

I am not too sure about that. Allthough I understand the sentiment... it appears he has some threads of greed, power and self-righteousness in his weave.

This is hardly the opposite of christian/right windgers.

Not at all - those are the things I strongly oppose.

it pays to be evil. Selfish. Greedy.

Money is money, where it comes from doesn't matter once it's in your hands.

Why can't I play Robin Hood & take things back & give them to those who really need it?

Do you really believe you are inhuman, and would handle power better? Or perhaps it is that the rich are inherently evil? I took thi sstatement as self-righteous lust for power.
