Turn 163 - 1030AD
We trade kitchen sinks with Epsilon ...
Epsilon has also revolted to Mercantilism. Losing the foreign trade route income is beginning to hurt.
*****************************
We know from Innovia's combat report that they took the city of B&O from Loco. However, it does not appear on their list of cities. Surely Innovia didn't raze the Pyramids?

Good for us, if they did ... but wow!
I send our Caravel over to have a look. As we no longer have a need to check our Epsilon's territory.
*****************************
We've got 223 gold in the bank. I upgrade 2 of our 5 Galleys to Galleons.
Upgrade costs:
- 110 gold ..... Galley -> Galleon
- 125 gold ..... Axeman -> Maceman
- 305 gold ..... Chariot -> Cavalry
That totals to 1800 gold that we will need.

With a little foresight, I would've been building Banks rather than Chariots.
*****************************
Balderdash -> Start training the Cavalry! I'd love to MM the city for hammers, but we need the commerce to pay for the upgrades.
Hamburger -> Also starts training Cavalry. I leave the city MM'ed for growth at the moment.
Treacle Cottage -> No changes.
Brilliant -> The city starts a Bank.
Twaddle -> No changes. The Forge can be whipped in 3 turns, at a cost of 3 pop.
Leonidas -> The city completes an Archer and starts a Longbowman. This won't be a bad production city once we get some irrigation in here.
Chappaquiddick -> No changes. The Granary can be whipped in 5 turns, at a cost of 1 pop.
Phooey -> Move the citizen from working the horses to emphasize food. The Granary can be whipped in 5 turns. Then dump the overflow into a Theatre to get a border pop.
Zapotec -> No changes.
*****************************
It looks like both Aloha and Innovia have picked up Great Scientists this past turn. Their lightbulb options should be Education followed by Printing Press.
Some of you may recall, though, that Innovia popped a Great Scientist just a turn ago.

So, how many scientists do you need to accumulate 100 GS points in a single turn? Well, when you are philosophical and have built the National Epic, it can be done with about 10 or 11
in a single turn. They had to empty the Granary to do it ... but it is an impressive feat!
Now, if Aloha and Innovia have combined their research then they both could be sitting on Education and Printing Press pretty soon.
*****************************
Epsilon has planted another city.

This brings them up to 12 cities before they even go to war. They are up to something.
Meanwhile, Loco has cracked the

all across their empire. No big surprise, there.
