Turns 1-20

Family size is food right?

Quite interesting indeed. 2 teams working forests ?! Weird to me - maybe it's one of those 2-food for a turn things when you have 3fpt ...

Tubby, I forgot how much fun it is to watch you cut open a spreadsheet and read its entrails. Good times, good times.

yeah, but we didn't have any in our starting 9

yeah, but we didn't have any in our starting 9

That is true, but I had an MSN chat with Sirian while in cogneto and regarding team BABE's starting spot he said he gave us something special which he described...

There's a lake of gin we can both jump in, and the handouts grow on bushes
In the new-mown hay we can sleep all day, and the bars all have free lunches
Where the mail train stops and there ain't no cops, and the folks are tender-hearted
Where you never change your socks and you never throw rocks,
And your hair is never parted

Oh the buzzin' of the bees in the cigarette trees near the soda water fountain,
At the lemonade springs where the bluebird sings on the Big Rock Candy Mountains

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains, you never change your socks
And little streams of alcohol come a-trickling down the rocks
The brakemen have to tip their hats and the railroad bulls are blind
There's a lake of stew and of whiskey too
And you can paddle all around 'em in a big canoe
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains the jails are made of tin,
And you can walk right out again as soon as you are in
There ain't no short-handled shovels, no axes, saws or picks,
I'm a-goin' to stay where you sleep all day
Where they hung the jerk that invented work
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains

hmm.. not sure if those are the same words that are in my daughter's video...

is that good news or bad? or has Sirian gone mad?

I'd be willing to get they've taken out the "cigarette trees" since I was a kid. I used to picture to myself the candy cigs they sold in stores back then. :p

Even the candy cigarettes I hated the smell and taste of...

Seems we have a save in our inbox. Who plays?
(I haven't tried running Civ3 on Linux, so I can't play atm)

I have successfully and unincidentally pressed enter.

Everyone has 33 points, here's the F11

We fell in GNP and productivity to one civ, but who's to say what's with their food - some people changed tiles overnight, for better or worse.

If nobody touched the save by the time I come home later on today I can play the turn for us...is there anything happening so far. i would just follow the instructions according to our spreadsheet
edit: reading the previous entry, I think we are on our last turn roading the BG...

Should we create a roster for who plays when? And is it standard procedure to play a turn each for the duration? I can join whenever you want me to.

right now there's not much decision making in the save since the spreadsheets sort of lay out the first 20 or so turns. I could take it later this morning after I get a couple cups of :coffee: in me. If someone more awake wants to try it out, just post a got it.

BTW, remember to press enter at the end of the turn. Do not save it before doing pressing enter (or the spacebar).

Tubby since you can play, go ahead then...

as for a roster might be good. Since RobiD and myself are in a very different time zone

I'd rather just have whoever could take the save take it. That way we can turn it around quicker and it always seems that if there is a roster, I can play when it's not my turn and I can't when it is. so if there is a roster, don't add me to it.

playing now. road is done... nothing to do except hit enter

turn 4 sent along

And some of us (ahem) are too nervous about making an error to even want to play a turn without some direct hand-holding via MSN Messenger. We (ahem), ah, prefer to just watch or make inane comments on what the rest of you are doing. :p

seems like a really exciting turnset :crazyeye:

next turn someone got to move the worker, but into the right direction, guess that should be possible for anyone in this team
