Tycho Brahe

Well, I've learned a thing or two about Tycho Brahe. In particular I shall always have a giggle whenever I see him in the game from now... having a copper nose piece is just hilarious!

PS. I asked my husband if he knew the name (he's a scientist and a widely read/knowledgeable man) and he didn't. So don't beat yourself up, anyone, for not knowing this one.

Well, Tycho Brahe did not only do good things for science. While he was one of the first natural philosophers to make use of continous, repeated examinations in his studies, as is the process of most science today as well, he still clung to the belief of the Earth being the unmoving center of the Universe and the sun revolving around it, even though this view had been rejected by Copernicus before him. This was because he believed the Earth to be "heavy, træg(don't know the english word for this) and unfit to move"

dense, perhaps?
