But why would anyone want to use ICV in the first place if he/she doesn't want to turn the small-UI on? The whole idea of small-UI is that it allows to choose how some windows would look (mainly icons, _small.xmls uses smaller icons). If someone prefers to use non-small-UI then why would he/she use ICV?

For the improved functionality, for example the Great People display and the Specialists box. Certainly people are using it as I've seen multiple posts where they didn't realize they needed to also use the small interface. Anyway, it's not a big deal if you see no value in making the change.

Modpacks. If this mod is included in a modpack for multiplayer games, not everyone might have the resolution for small UI. (And that's a mess to give different modpacks to different peoples)
But appart from that, I don't really see.

Yeah having the option of keeping normal UI for the rest of the interfaces would be nice! I'm still using an older version of this mod but if you implemented that change I would switch immediately!

Notepad++ also has a diff plugin (I think it's called something like 'Compare'...should be easy to find) in case you're using that text editor anyway. KDiff3 is also a good tool (standalone).

Before I start messing with the files, does anyone happen to know if there is any way to turn on the building icons in the list of building a built in the city? I think this was the main reason why I went back to the very original version of this mod (I find the icons much easier to navigate).

Doesn't seem like it; I've told him about me updating some of his mods but he just said to put the updates into his threads and that he doesn't currently plan to return to civ5...
