Guys, I didn't mean make huge changes to your alliances etc, I just meant if you go to war, set objectives, not ones of "destroy that nation".
Kennelly, I do not think war is bad, I just think you should have attainable objectives(ie; take that province cause it gives me an area to make a port near the Atlantic). Not ones of just "destroy that nation cause my people say they don't like them".
Anyway, you are right that I favour defence, because historically when a nation is fighting for survival, they fight like mad.
Forts will not be introduced, nor will I limit the number of posts(Kennelly, you weren't the main one I was talking to).
All I mean is that this NES must be fun for everyone, and if that does mean that in a justified war a nation is destroyed, so be it. That doesn't mean you go attacking nations for the hell of it. There has to be a reason, and then a solution.
The best example is the European war. Sweden claimed Denmark, but Britain took it. Sweden went to war, determined to take back Denmark then have peace. They couldn't take it back, and eventually signed a peace treaty. Unfortunately, Italy backed her ally, and was destroyed because of it(although I still think the Europeans should have been more lenient with Italy).
And to WarlordMatt, for God's sake get yourself some allies on the American continent! Your lack of diplomacy is what made you an easy target! Nations in history would attack a weak enemy if they could, and I can't keep stopping them!
