Unclickable "end turn" bug - how do I work around it? (mod)

I've heard about this bug several times on the forums, but I can't find it now, so I'd like to ask if anyone found a fix around it.

Just to make sure it's clear - I am talking about the bug where the game doesn't tell you you can produce something or have to select a research (though you can do so by just going into your city or clicking on the tech tree), and also doesn't allow you to finish your turn.

Try to save game and then load game - does that fix it? Usually for me, that solves the problem, although I don't remember if I've had it also in Civ6, or only in Civ5.

only thing you can do is load a previous save. set your autosave to around 5 turns and just load that.

I have it on first turn though, and several times in a row...

EDIT: Save and load doesn't work either. It also appears to do this on every game I start.

Sometimes that happens to me and it is related to the battering ram. For some reason it has a turn but it does not come up . So I have clicked around till I found it. On multiplayer (hotseat) some of the units sometimes display this weirdness where they have to move even if you tried to make them go to sleep and only if I wake them up and move them can I finish. Hotseat is overall very wonky.

Strange. Have you tried to verify your game files?

If that's something that is done by uninstalling and reinstalling, then yes. Otherwise, what should I do?

@liv: I've made sure I've done all my movement, all my production, etc. Not that much work on turn 1... (also, no battering rams on turn one)

In steam library, right click on the game, select properties, go to the "local files" tab and select "verify game-cache integrity" (or something like that), and sees if all files check out. It's always worth testing if problems occur repeatedly.

It is a unit that wants to move. Go through all of your units and make sure they all have done their turn. Fixes the problem every time.

Didn't fix it.

Not for me. All I have is one warrior (it's turn one, after all) that I've moved as much as possible (which is 2 tiles).

Not a very common bug, but I can confirm this exact thing happened twice (+100 hours played) in my games - the only solution? Save every few turns, reload when needed.

I would like it if people would actually read before posting. Then they'd, you know, realize that I'm talking about the bug being there when I start the game, and every time. This is the third time I get told to save often and reload, when it's not relevant.

are you using any mods?

I am using a few, yes, I thought that people had been experiencing it in the base game too. I guess I could try playing without them though.

Turns out one of the mods is indeed the cause of the problem. Thanks!

My bad, sorry for that Leyrann :hammer2:

i'll make sure to stay clear of that mod. everyone uses AI+ anyway no probs with that even with other mods like omnibus. :shifty:
