Legion (Rome) - 26 =(25+1) I didn't realize legions could chop. That's fantastic. I always like unique units that have an economic benefit beyond just being good at killing things. Killing the AI isn't hard, but getting some extra build charges can go a long way.

Hoplite (Greece) - 21+1=22 - Comes in early game, and the +10 strength from adjecent Hoplite is a great thing. Pericles once attacked me with a massive army of hoplites. After some fighting, I've decided to quit the game, since they were increddibly tough to kill. Here you can see a screenshot of his army.

Mamluk (Arabia) - 23 (22+1) Surprised that the Mamluk isn't among the favorites. Knights are a key unit in the game and already too powerful in most situations. The Mamluk is even better. The AI not being able to focus its fire and attacks on single units means that you'll almost never lose one.

Maryannu are actually good and don't deserve to be eliminated before the Berserker, Highlander, and other bad units. 10 ranged strength stronger than archers, and 10 melee strength stronger, on top of an extra 2 movement. The summer patch buffed them on production cost, ranged and melee power. If they're gonna die, it'll be to 3 votes instead of 2.
