Could you do a slightly different claoking effect on this one, somehow make it more primitive than the valdore? Very nice models, cant wait to see some klingon ships

TheMorpheus: Are you downloading these? Because I went to 3DCafe today, and they have a number of them including Ferengi ships and an old Klingon Bird of Prey. If you're making it from scratch, then nevermind!

I searched for 3DCafe, and found a goldmine :evilgrin:. Wow, that is going to be helpful in unit making.

Dom Pedro II, yes I use 3D models from different sources to make the units. I'm only add the Civ color sections to the models, sometimes I have to add the texture.
3D Cafe is a good source for different models

Umm... won't those... what are they? missiles? or bursts of energy? Won't they be civ-colored?

The wapon is a kind of plasma and all blue stuff is civ color.

The unit is finished

That's a pretty good idea. My question is how do you make explosions like that?

Yes, I'd be interested to know that as well.

I'm using the OpenFX framework for the animation stuff. The tool has some special effect plugins. I'm using the fireball plugin to create the explosion effects.
