I wish someone would make this, but, since no one has said anything by now, I'm begining to think it might be a lost cause.
If someone could make the Chariot with 4 Wheels, I think the rest can be a simple cut and paste. All you have to do is take the regular Civ3 Chariot driver, and replace his long Spear with a Javelin.
If I can get someone to make the Chariot, would anyone be interested in adding the driver? (Basically modify the Civ3 Chariot driver so he throws a Javelin, instead of stabbing with an extra long spear). Then I'll see if I can get someone to make some Donkeys.
Ooh, that would be cool. I think that's sort of how the Celts used chariots, no? Zipping by the front lines of the enemy and hucking javelins and insults at them. That would make for some cool sounds, too. Hmmm. Course Celts didn't use donkeys.
Maybe one with donkeys and one without. Dang I wish there were more chariots about.
Not like I know anything about unit creation, but wouldn't it be rather difficult to cut and paste a javelin throwing animation onto the Vanilla charioteer? Seems to me it'd be easier if they had a model of chariot to fiddle with, instead of rendered frames or whatever the flc is.
Hmmm.
(long pause)
Hmmmm. Not many folk making chariots out there. Hmmm.
LouLong is planning to make a Celtic Chariot. No one is planning to make a Mycenaean Chariot. And I'm planning on nagging everyone until someone makes this Chariot.
I don't know how hard it is to change a stabbing motion of a spear into a throwing motion of a javelin, but it has been accomplished before (Like Kryten's Peltast). I don't know if I can get someone to make a Donkey, but I'm going to try to get someone (a Llama has been made before, why not a Donkey?).
Here's a rough idea of how the Chariot would look (if I get somebody to make it). Ignore the Horse, but the Driver is fine (I even shortened his Spear).
