Unit Request: Mobile Offshore Base

Yes. :)

BTW are you sure its legal to use the PTW buildings(airport and RT)?

Sshhhhh!

To be honest, I didn't even think about it. But, it's so jumbled up, I don't know how it could be of much use to anyone.

I would use it if i were you, really airports and RT´s cant even be implemented in normal civ3.

Awsome :goodjob:

Nice but I think it'll need to be a little smaler (remember the 240x240 size limit in FLICSter)

I love it, Admiral... unfortunately, as I said before, I can't imagine how this can be used in game... :(

I guess it could be a very strong aircraft carrier... either that or a transport... if it were to be either one of those, it could be made very strong, and thus it could be used to shield other naval units in the area as well... although I think the AI would be too stupid to appreciate that...

Can transports have bombard or attack capabilities? If you could bombard with it, you could put airplanes in the bombard animation and that might make it look like an aircraft carrier as well as a transport. Of course, as a transport, that would mean that it would have to come right up on the beach to land troops. Seems to me like the whole point of it is that its meant to house troops so that smaller transports (or even helicoptors) can bring them to land...

somebody should play around with the different functions. If I actually had a computer of my own right now, I'd do it.

This looks like an interesting concept. Hope it comes through the 'Pit of Ideas' unscathed.

Happy you mentioned that. :D I created it all within the bounds of a 240x240 frame (I actually used the pcx from the Ironclad Frigate which has 240x240 frames). Besides, if it's too big in-game, I can use Steph's handy-dandy SBB to shrink it a bit. ;)

So, Naval Power, do you want me to complete this? Change anything?

They don't call me Admiral for nothing. :D

BTW, Akula, I like you're avatar. Spot on! :goodjob:

Have it where bombard animation is airplanes and have it where you can air drop units. Then make it a transport for units, this should work(have not tested it and don't no how the AI would handle this. I think the AI will handle this pretty well though, the AI will think it is a bombarding transport.:))

O I love you i love you i love you. OMG I love You ehehhe. Um if you could animate it a little it would be awsome but if you dont have the time I still love it so very much. Your my new best friend.

As for the idea with bombard but having planes do it that would work very well. As for pulling up on the shore I wouldn't mind as each square represents alot of land meaning it still could be a few miles off.

Of course I want you to continue.

Okay I just thought it looked a bit larger than 240x240:)

You still working on it? Yes toy with different ideas on how it can be used everyone.

Im sry for being a very impatient person but are you still working on it Admiral?

Ok no problem Yes I love your other units and want to see your excellent workmenship come together on this project and as you see many other people like the idea of it.

Yes it does move if you were to implement it in the game IMO give it a move of 1 or 2 so it takes a long time to deploy so it is not overpowering by being able to carry massive amounts of millitary junk anywhere really quickly instead it will take a while.
