***Unit Request Thread***

I have a request for a Prussian infantry unit, with a look that resembles the prussian/german troops from the franco-prussian war for example. the key to this would be the spiked helmets.

thanks whoever takes this up

Even though I posted pictures, nobody has done the Tu-126 Moss version of the Boeing E-3A Sentry. If I had the ability and the time I would do it myself but I don't so I need someone to do a modification of the E-3A Sentry. That would do well.

Healz, please look at my E-3 Sentry unit thread.
If you dont like the way it looks, keep going thru the thread. Near the end you will see a 3D model of a E-3 sentry. If you like it, let me know and I will continue work on it.

Yeah!
Pickelhaube rules!

What I am missing, is a field gun for this period like Krupps C64.
It doesn't look very different from the standard cannon, but I'd like to have a gun with stats somewhere in between the medieval cannon and the WW1/2 artillery and it would be nice to have a special graphic for it.

I'll think of more later. Hopefully someone can help me out here, thanks! [/B]

Pesoloco's unit is wonderfully done but misses the "spirit" of both early 20th century and modern (yes, modern) zeppelins -- here's one of each --

... hmm -- I'm having difficulty getting a pic small enough, so please look here:

http://www.cargolifter.com/2002/repository/splash.html

Many uses:

1. Industrial age scenario -- including WWI and a hypothetical US-Japanese 1930s Pacific War (the US had 2 airships even rigged out to carry aircraft!)

2. A Michael Moorcock "Warlord Of The Air Scenario"

3. Alternative air units not requiring an oil resource (presumed to use much less fuel)

4. Inexpensive very near future air transport units

5. Post-Apocalypse scenarios

6. A genuinely environmentally concerned Civ's solution to air transport

... OK, or maybe I just think they're cool ...

Comanche Stealth Attack Helicopter

The Comanche Helicopter, designed by the US, is the only stealth rotary aircraft being slated for production to date. It is a light attack helicopter used for armed reconnaissance, and designed to emit low radar signatures (stealth capability).

i have a little challenge for you. what it is exactly, is this:

i would like to have some sort of military engineer unit:
only builds roads/railroads, clears jungle/forest, cleans pollution and can defend itself.

i had a site with some very good 3d pics pf them but it,s lost somewhere in history. but i,m quite sure you know what i,m talking about.

While there seems to be legion of tanks being made their seems to be less focus on less well known but devastingly important units, most importantly a complete and utter lack of MiGs!!! I need a MiG 21 fish bed for civs with no oil or Aluminum, or something so they can retain some air power in the modern age, it's rediculous to see WWII Fighters with modern jets, they wouldn't even stand a chance so I beleive a stop gate fighter is in order....in fact any MiG would be great! I LOVE YOU MIKOYAN-GURYEVICH!!!!

Would you like a newly designed zepellin?
such as this one:

... You know, it's pretty difficult, after a certain age, to feel like a kid in a candy store about graphics!

Let me add my voice to the many praising your art and generosity.

-- Oh, and -- YES!!

Many Thanks,

Ancient Units and stuff

Here is some inspiration:

Sarmatian Warband and Horsemen

Thracian Warband (no sword)
Thracian Peltasts (Mercenary)

Germanic Warband
Germanic Thegn Horsemen
Germanic Fanatics (Chatti and Vandal tribes)
German-Roman Auxilla Legion

Celtic Warband
Celtic Fanatics
Celtic Noble Horsemen
Celtic-Roman Auxilla Legion

Celtiberian Swordsmen

Greek Successor Hoplites
Greek Successor Imitation Legionaries
Greek Successor Psiloi and Auxilla

Anyway, I have plenty of ideas…

I am not going to be posting about the Tu-126 Moss again but maybe yes, a reworked version of the white one with a greyer skin might work, although you need to get rid of the US Airforce sticker and just have the red star on the wings and the tail. Healz.

Some defencive buldings (defencive unmovable unit, some whith bombard) like the round tower would be cool. Could be usuable with barbarian strongholds and defence in cities.

Edit: For middle ages not modern/futuristic like the turred unit.

Hey everyone, i plan to make the most realistic fantasy based scenario in my personal power. But I have very little time to make units. So i am in need of any units you can make for me, here is a list, thanks for your help. Also if you take this task, pay special attention to detail, especially for the elites (In other words, make them look AWESOME!!!)

Dragonika (Dragons)

Red Fire Dragon
Blue Aqua Dragon
Green Forest Dragon
Gold Scaled Defender Dragon (Elite Unit)
Dragon Human w/ spear
Dragon Human w/ sword
Dragon human worker

Humontia (Humans)

Knight (Elite Unit)
Sorcerer
Priest
Sword Master
Spear Master
Fighter Mage (Elite Unit) (Preferably a glowing, or on fire sword weapon :)
Mage Worker

Trollia (Trolls, Goblins, Ogres)

Trollish Clubman
Goblin Spearman
Goblin Archer
Goblin Mage
Goblin Thief
Ogre Executioner (Elite Unit)
Goblin Slave/Worker

Elventon (Elves)

Elven Archer
Elven Ranger (Elite Unit) (swordsman,archer)
Elven Swordsman
Fire Mage
Forest Mage
Forest Elemental (elite unit)
Elven Mage Worker

Giantorn (Giants)

Giant Clubman
Giant Club Thrower
Giant Swordsman
Frost Giant
Fire Giant
Giant Defender (Elite Unit) (fully armored, sword and shield, spears on back, ya know, the works)
Giant Slave/worker

Thank you for even paying attention to this post, also if ya want a REALLY cool scenario, make a leader head per race.

Thank you, as soon as i get the units the map should be almost done, so, thanks a whole lot, this will be a revoloutionary scenario as far as im concerned, with new ideas, and whole lots of stuff like that, so PLEAZE don't brush aside this scenario....

Exactly my point, I'm pretty sure that the generic jet fighter in civ3 is a MiG-29 or maybe even a MiG-25 and should be moved farther back in the game, maybe even as far along with radar artillery. A MiG-21 is a good early jet fighter due to fact that it's so wide spread throughout the world and was an excellent fighter post WWII (the fighter in Civ3 is ofcourse, the Supermarine Spitfire)

M1A1 Abrahm Tank

Though I know the CivIII current modern tank is loosly based off the M1A1, I hope to be able to use a more accurate version in scenarios. The M1A1 abrahm is equipped with a 120mm smoothbore cannon. It is also equipped with a 12.7mm Browning M2 machine gun and two 7.62 machine guns equipped for the loader and coaxially on the main armament.
