Unit Request x2: Ancient Egyptian Spearman and Khapesh swordsman

AAA, sry, I finally found this thread!

An update for everyone.
I'm working on extracting the color pallette for Loulong's unit (I'm not having as much success as I'd like to be having). Once I get the damn pallette extracted I can finish this unit. I'm really hoping that I will have some free time next wekend to work on this intensley (it's weird, my schedule got really busy at the same time LouLong gave me this unit and all the free time I've had has been used figguring out Y MY CIV GAME STOPPED WORKING!)

But have no fear, I WILL FINISH THE SPEARMAN!

my unit/units are coming along slowly i'm actually banned from the computer but my parents are down the pub

An ancient egyptian swordman - without shield, sorry... - is available into AoE Graphics.drs file. If you got the SLP-Studio graphic editor for AoE you got it without much efforts.

I have to disagree with you there Prometeus about the Egyptian swordsman. I must assume your referring to the short swordsman unit that comes with most of the civs in AOE. While this unit would certainly function as a "acceptable" swordsman for Egypt (Copyright issues aside), it still isnt quite on the mark we need. We have our top men hard at work on the swordsman and spearman now as we speak, so stay tuned

No no... i was referring to an hidden unit inside that DRS.

A hidden unit eh? Intriguing. I wasn't aware of such a thing. If you have a screen cap of it, Id like to check it out.

right i've been reading the photoshop manual and i know how to import the palet of the ready made frames onto the pcx storyboard and have done this. i should have both units: Ramses and Khapesh Swordsmen done by Friday given the right circumstaces

Your school work is more important than your unit. Please believe me (I am a teacher ).

I just would love my unit to show up eventually but that is not your responsibility (except if you know how to turn it into Civ3 FLCs of course ).

yeah i do know how. but computer dude is working on that i don't want to infringe

Well, American and French way of approaching history are often quite different but if you need help, don't hesitate...
