Units for MansWork

Just took a look at the new artillery and each is extremely well animated. I don't normally comment on other people's unit threads, so take note.

Quite seriously, high praise indeed.

Amazing stuff as always.
Good to see you continue producing great "vehicles" for us to use.
Enhancing the game with beautiful variations.

Hi gwendoline
Thank you very much for your great ww2 units.
You surely know that you can find great 3D models of tanks in the free game World of Tanks.
All models with textures are in World_of_Tanks\Res\Packages directory.
Here you can find compressed archive files that you can open easily with winrar.
For example vehicles_american.pkg contains all american vehicules. I haven't any 3d software so i don't know if the the file format is encrypted or not... but i hope you can convert some of them to civ3

Eh, hi general-jcl, i'm afraid I couldn't convert models from the path you've shown :( But, be sure, I still have a lot ww2 stuff to do and now french vehicles is just in queue for sound!

Will do, at least more for a year ;)

Since I can´t see that anyone ever made a M-46 Patton (please correct me if I´m wrong)
do you have a model of this the First of the Patton tanks ??

Great news for me! I await your french units with impatience.
But it's a pity that you can not convert World of Tanks models because there is many many models in this game. Plus you can find custom ww2 models here:
http://historicalrealism.blogspot.fr/search/label/Germany

It would be great to have a civ3 version of these tanks. Perhaps you can ask for a tool to convert them in WOT forum or on historicalrealism.blogspot?

You mentioned before that you had some German units left to do on a rainy day perhaps.

After looking over the very big collection I can clearly see one very used vehicle that actually have not appeared in any form for Civ3.

The "Bumble Bee" or Hummel SPA.
Panzerfeldhaubitze 18M auf Geschützwagen III/IV Hummel, SdKfz165

I hope you got a model for this since it will fit in nicely in the upgrade chain
Wespe - Hummel - Grille

Any hope ???

Yes it always in my mind, especially when i meet him in game.

I think the only reason it still not done is because there are too much german SPA and sturm guns already, any army could only dream about.

And i really wish i had more such rainy days or bright'y mood

Yes, you´re spot on with that the great unit-makers, like yourself, have crowded certain areas with a mass of units. Then in hindsight the poor AI can´t even understand how to use these fine tools. Some hard and very smart solutions by mod-creators have helped to some degree, but yet it´s very sad that this mass of different "shaped" units can´t be fully used on the battlefield.

Cheers to you too mate
and many many thanks for your fine contributions.

gwendoline!!! The surprise invasion of your new units today is outstanding!::):bounce::woohoo::thanx:
