Units!

Ahh, keeping secrets for your fellow scen-makers, are ya? ;)

Nope! :) I wrote about it some time ago...

Karnataka. India 1740-1761. I noticed a couple of units that could be adapted to act as Muslim heavy cavalry and infantry. Got a complete set for artillery, English and French forces, Marathas and barbarians ( Rajput, Jat, Rohilla and Gurkhas). I used and afghani picture to perform indian musketman ( "toofangchi" ), but no one to perform a decent cavalry - at least until now.

Thanx for your permission, Squonk!!!

Hey, that sounds cool. I like those historic scenarios taking place in exotic places... :goodjob: And with your hitherto achievements, I bet it'll be good.

APL: The first one is an Aerospatiale Puma Helicopter, the second is a UH-1 Huey, the third is a Westland Lynx. What I need is a UH-60 Black Hawk, is it really non-existing?

This is a UH-60 Black Hawk:

And this:

The search party may cease searching, for I have attempted to make one myself. I think it is relatively good, and I will use it in my scenario (I'll probably modify it). This is a Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk Combat Fitted Helicopter, do you have any suggestions for improving it? It's built on the UH-1, but it seems unrecognisable, so I won't credit AC for it, whoever that is...

I don't mean what the author wanted the icons to represent, I meant what they actually look light.

No. 1 looks more like a Uh-60 than a Puma (Puma's/Cougar's have ligh tail and foward engine nacelles). If you want it bristling with hellfires, as per your pic, then edit the icon to include them.

No. 3, again Lynx's do not have "wings" like that. The naval version have torpedo racks, and the rest are flush. Plus they have high tail stabs, not mid, and squareish cockpits, not racked.

Looks good insurgent :goodjob:

In fact it looks more than good.
:goodjob:
Now make me a camelman unit, and Mongol infantry, and some nice Arabesque background, and some icons...:)

I'm really sorry, Squonk. I'm not an experienced unit maker, it takes me a day to make a unit, I don't have the time, I only work on one if I can't get someone better to do it, and finally you can find other unit makers. In fact ANZAC is one of the best, ask him, or someone else. :goodjob:
In other words: I'm sorry, no... :(

BTW: thanks! :D

All of those units you are looking for squonk, are in this thread. So go back and look through the pages and you'll find it :goodjob:

I do that enough for enough graphics search threads :crazyeye: But just for you, I'll give a generalistic location of it :)

Well, it seems that you dídn´t like my selection of the units for the Faklands scenario

Andrew:
It seems that you are an expert in this matter. Could you post correct pics of these helicopters?
Puma and Lynx?

At the bottom of page 3 and around that page there are some of those units you might need. Also here is a bedouin unit

I didn't mean to offend you: I know that every first project has to make do with available material, so here's a collection of units I was making for my own future Falklands scenario.

From left to Right: C-130 Hercules, A-4 Skyhawk, EE Canbera, Etendard, Vulcan, SS "Atlantic Conveyor", SS "Canberra", Destroyer, HMS "Fearless", HMS "Invincible", LVTP-7, Mirage III, Westland Lynx.

I posted a photo of a Puma above.

No problem. As you said, it is my first project and I need to obtain help from you guys.
THANK YOU!!! Those units are Great!!!!!! :goodjob:

They are nice. I should try making modern units oneday. I prefer drawing ships than drawing humans and horses, and I think drawing helicopters and plains would be similar to drawing ships.
Ships are obvious, there's no big deal about the colours and the shape isn't
all that complicated, while humans have so dumb shapes that I would modify them if I could.
