US CivRev Xbox 360 Sales on Amazon Top Charts, PS3 in Second

According to Gamasutra, sales of Civilization Revolution for online retailer Amazon.com are looking strong just days after its release. In fact, the Xbox 360 version of CivRev is currently the bestselling game for that console, and the PS3 version is in second place behind Metal Gear Solid 4. I'm really not surprised. I'm in LA and I went to 5 different places and finally found a copy from a small independent game shop, and this was Wed!

Amazon charts are not a good way to track sales trends, only that it is selling.

I suspect if the DS version does sell well and it seems to be, most of its sales will be generated at the stores, not online as they're usually no real price benefit to doing so. And the DS game is half the price of the PS3/360 versions and along with the usual x9.99 pricing, makes it ineligible for free shipping in some territories. Amazon.ca requires $30 purchase to be eligible. CivRev DS costs $29.99
