Is there any chance of getting the Armageddon counter to look the way it did back in 0.25 and before.

In previous versions it was integrated into the user interface and actually looked both like it belonged, and that it was something to take note of. Now it just seems like an afterthought, just thrown above the scores because it's not a big enough feature to warrant anything else.

I know this is a minor issue if at all, but I felt that in previous versions it contributed to the setting and atmosphere of FfH, whereas now it detracts from it.

Wasn't it removed (in the previous incarnation) partially because it blocked the selection of the foremost techs in the selection bar?

Maybe that was the reasoning, but it did no such thing. Well, it partially blocked the first tech, but you could still click the right hand portion of it. IMHO it was worth it, and if its simple to re-implement, a nice optional micro patch to bring it back would be much appreciated.

Also, a nice animated busy cursor based on it would be nice too, to replace the default or blue marble earth one.

Personally I think it would fit best in the upper right hand portion of the screen, where the year used to be displayed.

I think the main reason for removing it was it showed up in the city screen and blocked scrolling to the previous city.

Depended on the resolution you had.. i had mine on low and yes it got in the way.. and was pretty annoying

saying that, if it was moved to the left a little it would have been fine

tbh though i dont mind either way... i just wish the counter had more attached events for when it increased and even some for if it decreases
