Is there any way to move in a diagonal direction using a laptop which only has up/down and left/right arrow keys?

I had the same problem in the beginning but worked it out. I use PageUp, PageDown, Home and End to move diagonally. It feels a little queer in the beginning but you get used to it rather quickly.

The solution may vary from laptop to laptop.
On mine, I use the GoTo command quite a lot because the only way I have to get the diagonals to work is to turn on Num Lock (which converts the 7-8-9/U-I-O/J-K-L/M,. area into a keypad) and then off again when I want to irrigate or mine.
