[UXP] Legends of Revolutions

Gatling, I found your problem. The art is missing the entire folder with the viking heavy tank. In fact that folder also had the 3 other civ's heavy tanks in it. Spanish, Ottoman, and an unused hungarian model. I had to go back to WolfRev and get it. If you want (or anyone else playing these civ's) I think you can throw this folder into LoRtest's assets>art>units>german and it should work, I think.

I know LoR is set up to ignore custom assets but I dont think that folder counts as that. Maybe phungus will tell us other wise.

That worked, I added the folder to the art FPK directly and nows the tanks look fine :goodjob:

I have fixed this and the crash did not come. However, I have Windows XP, so there was porobably some magic included :crazyeye:

:hmm:
I'm kinda worried then. Because this mod is advertised as being easy to use, I just might not have gotten a report of this crash... It didn't crash for me, but if fixing that assert fixed it for you, I can only assume it'll crash for more people that just haven't said anything.

Hey achilleserzo, we should probably just put out a new build if this is the case, there are a couple asserts like this that are fixed in the test build...

Are there any compataple (sp?) maps that I can download. The mod is amazing, but maps are good to have

I love this mod thank you for it : ) Only problem i've found is that when i try to pick Hitler it crashes :( I don't know why, but it happens every time i try to pick him.

How come my HUD is missing? As in like my I don't have a map, technology bar, scoreboard etc.

This mod looks great n'all and I really want to play it, but I am having two problems with it:

1) Blue Marble doesn't seem to work with it (idk if this is a bug or not)

2) I keep getting this strange error message in the events screen whenever I choose the RevDCM components that I want on.

@JoeCool: With VISTA you have to Run As Administrator.

Run the entire program (i.e. the shortcut I have for Legends of Revolution on my desktop) or just that file? And will that solve my Blue Marble issue, or is that completely separate...

I dont think that will solve the blue marble issue. I think that Blue Marble uses custom assets, and LoR doesnt. I believe he is working on bundling it as an option for a future release.

Oh, well darn ;). I guess now I'll just have to play the waiting game............ I'm bored lets go play Hungry Hungry Hippos!

I just wanted to pop in and say that this is an amazing mod! I've really been enjoying it, and it's just spectacular. I love the modified graphics, and most of the unit changes (I want my Keshiks back!), but the part that really stands out to me is the parts that you can turn on and off in the custom game menu, I've been looking (admittedly, not very hard) for something that makes real revolutions in the game, as well as making barbarians an actual part of the game. I just wish I knew how to add those options to my normal BTS games, any suggestions?

Thanks for the awesome mod!

I believe the revolutions mod is something that was developed separately and just incorporated as part of this. But it alone is worth the price of admission as it just makes games a million times more dynamic.

Did you hit Alt-I like I suggested????

You still have Keshiks. There just knights now but even better than they were before! They have been moved to a time period that better represents them as they were in life.

There are two causes of this. 1st is a failure for the patch to work due to the borked automatic installer function, in which case you must manually install the patch.

Second is unfixable and first found by Kuffi-Dam. Not sure why, but any mod that goes over a certain limit of players, usually around 24, causes some systems to loose the interface. To adress this for the next build I will also be releasing a 18 civ version DLL for those that this effects, you wol't be able to fully enjoy revolutions as you'll be limited to 18 civs, but that's the only cause Kuffi-Dam could find that fixed his interface issue.

Well given glider's last post I think it would be best to wait to update LoR until the next release of RevDCM. Probably a couple days.

Edit:
BTW achilleszero what do you have done in the art department? I'm courious if you've added in the Barbery Corsairs, split the Native Americans, changed to the new Hitler LH, and done anything else beyond Cleaning up city and unit art. You are of course totally at liberty (and even encouraged) to do so, but not expected to. Just curious because you hinted at splitting the Natives to the Iroquois and Sioux, and was wondering if you've done anything like that. Also I'm curious to know what went into fixing up the art that needed attending to.
