Well, to start, I'm still CTD'ing with build 152, but it's much better, much more stable.
Anyway, my most recent CTD came with a new error message '...ran out of video memory...check game settings...'
No big deal. Can't set it lower than 'low'. But since it's the first time I got this message, I figure it's a new one written into v152 (the phrase 'game settings' doesn't sound like Windows). So, for any Friaxians out there: the error message works.
I'm confused though. When I play Civ4, it's the only thing going on. I don't want to tax my computer. Once Civ is loaded and I'm in game, shouldn't the video memory usage be relatively static? Why is it good 'now' but not good 'later'
