Vamparic Powers: (used to be bloodlines) (probably should be Vampire only promotions)

Spectral Form: Vampire is Ethereal

Ghoulkin: haste for ghouls (may have to make this one more to make it worth having. maybe perm +1 move for ghouls.)

Supernatural Horror: Vampire causes Terror instead of just Fear.

Forbidden Lore: gains 1 rank in any spell type other than Lore of Life, doesn't require anything. (in WH this power gives all spells of any 1 school of magick other than Lore of Life. )

I figure 1 rank is powerful enough and lets you sneak your way into being able to learn the

rest with promotions.)

Master of the black arts: + magick resistance and targets of his spells get - magick resistance

Dark Acolyte: +1 rank in Necromancy (kinda silly since that is already possible in promotions, maybe make a lvl 4 necromancy that only with this you can get. Summon Undead Horde sounds like rank 4 to me.)

Infinite Hatred: the Vampire hates all civs you are at war with.

Flying Horror: has flying (not really useful by itself but with mobility it could be good)

Hunter in the Dark: has the ability s a scout starts with and now can access scout promotion

tree.

Avatar of Death +1 strength? (Vampire wears heavy armor and is armed with ether a great weapon or 2 weapons or weapon AND shield, they normally only have 1 weapon no shield.)

Red Fury: Blitz (IDK the FFH name for it and it needs mobility to be useful.)

Dread Knight: +1 strength and is mounted (really same as Avatar of Death but only for mounted

Vampires)

Walking Death: +10% str to all undead units this stack 100% chance of wearing off per turn.

Aura of Dark Majesty: ? (-1 to enemy Leadership tests)

Beguile: FFH Charm

Summon Creatures of the Night: can summon Dire Wolves, Bat Swarms and Fell Bats. for each of

these it requires 1 already in the stack to cast.

Lord of the Dead: can summon Skeletons. requires 1 in stack to cast.

Summon Ghouls: can summon Ghouls. requires 1 in stack to cast.

Please try to make suggestions like this in the appropriate thread, rather than creating a new thread every time. So keep this in the Vampire counts thread.

I don't really see a need for many separate vampire promotions. Mostly they'll be either getting Necromancy promotions or various combat promotions. There might be a few that are fun for flavor (like scaly skin for cold ones, etc).

Spectral Form: Vampire is Ethereal

And what would that do? Probably too hard to balance on combat units.

Master of the black arts: + magick resistance and targets of his spells get - magick resistance

Most necromancy spells are likely to be summoning, so not really very useful.

Dark Acolyte: +1 rank in Necromancy (kinda silly since that is already possible in promotions, maybe make a lvl 4 necromancy that only with this you can get. Summon Undead Horde sounds like rank 4 to me.)

Unnecessary. Just use necromancy.

Supernatural Horror: Vampire causes Terror instead of just Fear.

Could work. Not all vampires in this mod should cause fear though (otherwise its boring).

I figure 1 rank is powerful enough and lets you sneak your way into being able to learn the rest with promotions.)

No it doesn't you'd still have to meet the tech requirements (eg Bright Magic 2 promotion requires that you have the Lore of Fire tech).

Infinite Hatred: the Vampire hates all civs you are at war with.

Why not just use combat promotions? Achieves the same thing and easier to implement.
Flying Horror: has flying (not really useful by itself but with mobility it could be good)

Units in this mod can't get mobility. Plus it seems pretty weird for most of the vampires. And assassins that can sit in peaks tiles is not really a good idea.

Hunter in the Dark: has the ability s a scout starts with and now can access scout promotion tree

Changing promotions a unit has access to is too hard to implement. Most of the scout bonuses are useless (like animal bonuses - useless late game) and terrain bonuses or beastmaster-type abilities aren't really in vampire civ flavor. Leave it to amazons/kislev etc., factions that are actually about beasts.

Avatar of Death +1 strength? (Vampire wears heavy armor and is armed with ether a great weapon or 2 weapons or weapon AND shield, they normally only have 1 weapon no shield.)
Dread Knight: +1 strength and is mounted (really same as Avatar of Death but only for mounted Vampires)

Too strong. Keep in mind heroic attack and heroic defense are powerful and hero-only abilities. Leave them with normal combat promotions (and shock, cover, etc.)

Walking Death: +10% str to all undead units this stack 100% chance of wearing off per turn.

This is too much like the khemri incantations. Khemri are about using their powerful units to buff their weak ones. Vampire counts are about having their powerful units be powerful, and their weak ones be cannon fodder.

Beguile: FFH Charm
Maybe... probably too strong for a single promotion though.

Summon Creatures of the Night: can summon Dire Wolves, Bat Swarms and Fell Bats. for each of these it requires 1 already in the stack to cast.
Lord of the Dead: can summon Skeletons. requires 1 in stack to cast.
Summon Ghouls: can summon Ghouls. requires 1 in stack to cast.

Things like this will be covered in necromancy magic already.

I suggested all of them but any turned into spells should not be accessible by Necromancers that are not Vampires. maybe make the Vampire only ones require Vampire promotion and Necro I, II or III promotion based on how dificult it should be.

and I was thinking not all Vampires are hero s. maybe 1 Vampire hero but not a army of them so the +1 str shouldn't be to bad.

I made new topic because I was last to post on last topic and already edited 5 times and didn't want to double post or have someone miss this because I just edited post yet again.

Darkform, I noticed that many of your ideas, although good, will be hard to implement and balence. Remember that PL is basicly the only coder here and I dont know how well he can edit the dll. I understand that you want this to follow as close to the tabletop as possible, but the general design (I feel) is to capture the flavors of the different civs, not to follow the factions exactly.

well I know my ideas are just ideas and that if they ever get in that they will probably be edited and or be a long time before implemented and after that they may be edited more or even removed for balance.

I'm not saying this is how it has to be. what I am saying is this is a idea of some things that might could be.
