Version 2.7 bug reports and feedback

Is there going to be a 2.72 or is the next version going to be 2.8?
I thought I would post this again since you might not have been able to read this forum very much.;)

Could you replace the Charles V's and Cardinal Richelieu's leaderheads with this one and this one? I think they look much better.;) Might you also use the new Alexander head?
 
Getting CTD almost every game. I've never been able to get out of the Medievel time period. This particular game is using the ROM_Smartmap script, but I get the same results with any of the other maps or scenarios. Save file is included in the zip. Sometimes, on reload, the game will continue to play for some time. It always crashes at the beginning of my turn, and usually seems to involve the beginning or end of a diplomatic dialogue screen. The map is big, but I have a good system.

6 Gb of memory

BTS executable is set to 'run as administrator'

A quick feedback for multiplayer games - we've been running a game in 2.71 with revolutions off, Barb civs on and NO random events. So far (one full evenings play) we've had NO OOS or crashes, it's been great.

:)

This is my first post, excuse my bad english.

I'm very disapointed by an issue.
I'm playing with something like 40 civs on a gigantic map and everything went right till now.
I play the romans, we are in 320 AD, golden age, and the turn won't end...
the little earth icon won't disapear, the game keeps calculating something again and again I don't know why.
It happens as I discover Cartography...the same if I discover Optics...
Please if somebody has an idea to solve this it would be much appreciated.

PS: another small bug is some of my spies disapearing from time to time for no reason ?_?

One of my tiles is under permanent blockade after a ceasefire. Any way to get around this?

This has been noted and I think someone somewhere is working on it. I think it was noticed when one of the components that go into RevDCM was being updated. So we will get the fix sometime.
 
Is there a setting that will allow the resource slider tabs, located on the upper right side of an "Examine City" screen, to slide up and down? My are stuck at the top and won't allow me to see the additional resources the city has.

I posted this question a while ago and thought it might be in the wrong thread since I hadn't received any replies. Could someone either let me know if they experience the same issue or, even better, tell me which thread or forum I should ask my question about the resource sliders not working? Thanks!

Note: Just wanted to thank all those who had any part in the development of the RoM mod. Tonight I finished my first game (shall I say it took 112 hours!). It was awesome!
 
I don't know if it's been reported as I'm in work and only taking a quick peek at the forums so I don't have time to wade through all the pages, but I have noticed that the storm clouds graphics are a bit glitchy, you can't see through them very well which can be a real pain when the mother of all storms brews on your south coast so you can barely see what's going on. It just looks ugly.

Have you had Mega Civ Pack installed and then removed it? Because python logs show that there's a problem with building upgrade paths - the python code can't locate the extra civ's buildings because the modules aren't loaded. I'd suggest deleting whole RoM installation and then unzipping v2.71 again. Note that Mega Civ Pack shouldn't be used with RoM 2.7 as that version was using different modular format.

It depends on when new RevDCM version is released - so there could be v2.72 before v2.8.

I've just got Civ Gold 5.0 and at some point will take another look at Mega Civ Pack and then I'll also try to update leaderhead graphics to newer versions.

Didn't see anything odd in the logs. I'll test your saved game soon.

It was known bug in Better BtS AI mod.

Click the resource section you want to scroll and then use mouse wheel for scrolling - clicking the desired section is required as the scrollbars overlap from each resource section.

So uninstall RoM? I tried installing mega pack but nothing new was in the game.

Yes, because Mega Civ pack overwrites 2 main python files from RoM (new settings for building upgrade paths for new civs) so you need to restore those files to default setting if you are not using mega pack.

BUT my turn refuses to end. I tried playing the game from a turn that was saved 6 turns ago but it still happens at the same turn. I even tried changing my build ques and research but it has no effect. Really frustrating as this was proving to be one of my best games.

Apart from that, excellent mod.

Encountered two things I am not sure if they are glitches or WAD.
1) Stealth Armor can't capture enemy cities. If they enter a City Plot they owner of the city stays the same.
2) I build a few nuclear and fusion subs and put them on resource plots to defend them against Privateers and Barbs, but they get ignored and Privs/Barbs can enter these plots at will and pillage. The subs are on sleep or sentry.

Edit: Further combat revealed that all units with "Hidden to Most Units" are having the mentioned problems. Even further I put an EMP Inf and a Genetic Soldier up as city defense and the enemy just walked in and took the city back, without any combat at all.
 
I have a problem each time I try to load the version 2.71. Win XP says that the program has committed an illegal action and is being closed.
I've been running 2.5 for some time without any problems, and there is still no problem loading that version.

I've added the log-files.

If you can play 2.5 but not 2.71 it probably means that you have not upgraded BtS to 3.19.
 
Getting a bug where part of my GUI disappears.
When one of my cities spawns a great person (Engineer) there are no command buttons units anymore. This makes the game unplayable.

No matter what I do to try to fix it, the same city spawns the same great person and the same thing happens.

This happened once before earlier on in my game and I fixed it somehow, but never figured out what did it.
I'm thinking this has happened to others and am hoping there is a simple solution.

If need be I'll upload my game and a bug log upon request.

I cleared my cache and myGUI issue was fixed (so far). Hold down your shift key as the game loads and you will see "uncached" in the small text, and hopefully that will fix your problem.

Two minor issues that should be easy to address. Some of the late game UUs and UBs don't appear at the same tech as the 'vanilla' versions. In particular, the Russian Research Institute does not show up at Modern Physics like the Laboratory does. I believe it's currently enabled at Computer Networks. Additionally, the Japanese flavor UU Battleship Yamamoto is several tech layers behind the normal Modern Battleship.

it is because AI is preparing war with his fleet. find out which AI (most likely an AI that just declared war. otherwise use show friendly/enemy moves and put a galley of each ai in your territory to find out which AI stalls)
then delete his fleet in World Builder. Should work. I know its cheating, but if you have a really good game its afaik the only way to solve the problem.

Alright it works.
But I have to destruct 2 babylonian cities as I don't know how to delete a unit located in a city...
How do you do this please.
