2.7Test2 - still can't build Bomb Shelters even though I can build nukes. I have the required techs Fusion and Civil Engineering. Also my automatic workers are busy laying electric railways over my normal railway - not a big problem as there is nothing else for them to do anyway. Still no CTDs :)
 
2.7Test2 something wrong as I keep getting to rebuild my river ports and harbours. Other than that not one CTD :goodjob:
It's a bug that I haven't had time to fix yet. Building upgrade lines use totally new python code (with the help of Pla5ma who optimized it) and it's probably of a case where the required python section is not triggered.

Bomb shelters, haven't checked them either yet as I've been busy modifying the future era techs. I'll look into these issues soon (there's bunch of other small things as well).

And if you test v2.7test2 please post feedback about it to the correct thread - version 2.7 discussion. That way I don't have to look through all bug threads for specific problems in v2.7test2.
 
I think there might be a problem with attacking with one of the units. My guess is the Jeep. If you run this save there is a crash while Gandhi is taking his turn. However if you use the world editor to force peace with Charlemagne then no crash happens. This has happened in earlier games as well where I was the one attacking when the crash happened.

The weird look of the "south America" continent is due to attempts to resolve the crash by reducing the civs in the game and keeping them from coming back. ;)

I seem to get a problem with the xml when i load the mod, it doesnt recognize the new character traits at all...

I have now a problem in the game - it started 700 AD and is still there at 1100 AD.

This bug has been reported and is on my bug fix list for v2.7. It happens when AI is deciding if it should build Inquisitors or not. You might be able to avoid this bug by turning off Inquisitions from BUG mod options (ctrl+alt+o) in RevDCM page.
 
Hi,

Getting a lot of CTD while playing. Currently at 1210 AD but its been happening every few turns since around 1100. I've played with various in game options to see if that'll kick start it but no joy. Logs included, any ideas? Using 2.6.2 currently (I think :))

I am having problems getting any version of ROM to run. I just upgraded my computer. I reinstalled civ 4 and BTS and updated both of them to current versions. I downloaded ROM 2.62 and patch, the megapack, etc... I have installed each of them to my mods folder and tried to run them at different times. I enabled modular loading. No matter what I do, BTS (which opens and runs fine) won't let ROM open up when I try to load it. It goes directly to "encountered a problem" from load a mod and doesn't even start the load sequence. Can anyone suggest a fix? It really is driving my crazy as I have been trying to get any version of ROM to work for months; that was one of the reasons I upgraded my computer. Thanks!
 
Further wierdness. I also can not load History in the Making or Planetfall mods (same error), but Better Tomorrow and MaxRigaBTS both load fine. I have to be missing some setting or something somewhere.

@Starlash2350 while upgrading BtS have you gone to 3.19 or only version 3.17. Just in case you got the new patch which was released yesterday of at least it was yesterday in some parts of the world :). In fact it is still yesterday in some parts of the world, and almost always is.

You not having the correct version, BtS 3.17, for the mods would be the simplest explanation.

Edit: I just upgraded to 3.19 and can't get RoM to start at all.
 
I am sure that that is the problem. I uninstalled BTS and then reinstalled it at version 3.00. Now I have installed 3.17 twice, but each time after it extracts it says everything is updated, but if I look at the version of BTS on the properties window of the .exe file it still remains at 3.13. Ggggrrrr. How do I get the stupid file to update to 3.17 correctly? This is still driving me crazy! I have no desire to play vanilla BTS as it sucks after playing ROM, but I have had endless problems with ROM for forever. I am so frustrated. HELP!!! Nathan.
 
Unfortunately the .exe has version 3.1.3.1 when it has been upgraded to 3.17. So I think you may have the correct version - does RoM work or are you still getting problems?
 
Nope, all indications are that it is still version 3.13 even though it is saying that it has uploaded 3.17. I even tried two different setups, one from firaxis itself and one from the civfanatics 3.17 patch download link. I reinstalled 3.19 and sure enough when you do that it shows up fine under properties at the BTS .exe file. The only one that won't work is the stinking 3.17 which is what we need.
 
Was going thru some of the buildings and noticed that the NETHERLANDS_DIKE does not have a folder??
You have a COLOSSEUM, and UNIVERSITY folder, but with Middle East info in it, also ACADEMY, CASTLE, BARRACKS, so when it looks for these they look in the wrong folder and not the original folder.

It also says something about MODERN_GRANARY, HOLLYWOOD, SCHOOL_OF_SCRIBES, PUBLIC_TRANSPORTATION, GUILD_HALL, LIBRARY, WEAPON_FACTORY, KINGS_SAGA, OIL_REFINERY, HOLY_ROMAN_RATHAUS, JEWELLERY, PRESS_AGENCY, CEREMONIAL_ALTAR, STEEL_MILL, RUBBER_FACTORY, HARBOR these are just some of them i have listed as "Failed to load. I have NOT been able to check these all yet, but i thought i'd at least write them down so i remember to go look at them.

Its not really a bug, but I would like to propose to put 2.7test1(dead link from here) back on filefront, its not available anymore there. I don't play 2.7test2 because it has no events... which sounds very boring to me...

Ah and another thing... I have a minor bug (see screenie), and although I know it has already been adressed in the past, I can't find it anymore.... Some tiles still are blocked although no ship is there anymore... How to solve this? Reload doesn't help...
 
Is there anything I can do to reduce the CTDs? I'm getting one every few turns, and every couple of times I load a game. There's nothing wrong, from what I see in the log files.
 
Maybe you should try playing on a slightly smaller map. I don't get MAF errors when only playing a Large map, for instance.

Yes, I have often the same problem when finally getting away babarian blockades some fields are still treated as blockaded and are "gone from the game" forever.

I wonder if there is a way to remove this by editing the game with the world builder? Does anyone have an idea how to get these fields back normal?
