Version mismatch

My friend and I are trying to play a game together, him on mac and myself on pc. Everything worked up steam automatically updated my game a few days ago, now we are unable to play because my friend is on the previous patch. Needless to say this has caused me endless amounts of frustration.

Is there any workaround to maybe roll back the patch on my computer so that we can play together again? I can't believe that a professional company like 2k would allow something like this to go on...

Nope, sorry, there's no way for you to fix this problem .

You can avoid it in the future though by selecting the "opt out" of automatic updates and wait to do it manually when your friend does.
