Very big problem with RoM New dawn

Im playing with my friend and he has that
We're playing at New Dawn 2.0
We don't know what to do, please of helpings
Sorry for my english... But i need to play this epic mod... it happend at start... No HUD,event handler and Out of sync...
It make me sad..

First, when you talk about "AND 2.0", which version did you download exactly ?
The error message seems to be linked with the component "Revolutions". I suggest you disable it and retry. If you don't want to disable it, you might try to use the latest development version !

To install it, you can both remove your mod folder and use the latest installer: Just download this.

How can we disable Revolutions?

You seem to have downloaded a development version of the mod. To disable Revolutions, just create a new game, then unchecked revolutions in game options before to start the game !

What didn't worked exactly in the link ? You have to download it, install, then start the launcher. Once the initial installation is finished, go to the options and check "autostart the mod with the game" and launch the game from the launcher !

Hm. I will need to improve the installer then.
Right now, do:
- Open "My Documents\My Games\Beyond the sword\Mods"
- Remove the existing mod folder
- Download and extract this : Download
- Launch "and2_checker.exe" in the folder you've extracted. It should be in "My Documents\My Games\Beyond the sword\Mods\Rise of Mankind - A New Dawn"
- Wait for the mod the download
- The launcher will start at the end. Go to "Options > Autostart the mod with the game".
- Launch the game from the launcher.

I cannot run checker.exe it says ... So much lose it's say's it didn't found MSVCP120.DLL

It works now, but my friend have now problem...Because when he start this checker windows tell's him "Apllication and2_checker.exe isn't correct for Win32

Are you sure he installed both files ? Someone had this problem on old version, and this is why i added automatic download of these in newer installer.

How to use tortois...its soo strange for me friend... I don't understand...

First of all, be warned that multiplayer works but you have to be careful on options you choose.
Then, uninstall or delete "Rise of Mankind" folder. You can't have both "Rise of Mankind" and "Rise of Mankind - A New Dawn installed" at the same time, or you'll end up without interface as you can see from your game. Next, OOS problems are common in multiplayer but have a look here and remember to play with options as suggested in my post.

Edit: and you don't need tortoise. Just use dbkblk launcher or use the full installer included in the main download thread (it says "nightly build").

I used to play AND on my PC all the time. I have since upgraded my PC and am using windows 8. I tried may different versions of AND including this newest one. It simply won't launch. I tried even removing all CIVs and re installing. Each time I try a new mod I remove it properly and re-install. No matter what I try AND will not launch. It is very unfortunate as I consider AND to be the best game ever made.

There were problems on some pc to install & update recently and you might have been concerned with Windows 8.1. Try to download the mod again with this link:
