Video Cards Question

Hi!
My 3d video card broke, so I'll have to buy a new one. However the numbers variations like GeForce2 and GeForce 5200 confuses me, and also I don't know how to compare it with Radeon, so I am asking for your help.
I posted this in the Fix-It List thread, cause I thought it wouldn't be a new thread affair, but I changed my mind, I apologize for this.

This are the video cards I am willing to buy. Just tell if they are compatible with the game and which one is better (between 1 and 2, of course), please.

1-Radeon Ati 9250se 128MB DDR

2-VGA XFX 128MB Geforce 4 Fx5200 AGP

3-VGA 256MB GeForce FX5200 AGP

4-VGA Geforce 256MB FX 6200 AGP

Thank you

There's a stickied thread that includes a link to a chart, the TnL thread here. There's quite a bit of discussion in that thread too.
I know the ATI you're considering is pretty old technology. The 9800pro/128 I use struggles a bit with Civ IV but does a fine job with Warlords; there were some tweaks under-the-hood made by Firaxis.

I would avoid the FX5200, I had that card and the game didn't perform too good. However, the 6200 should solve any issues you have with the game. I can't really speak for ATi since I've never used them. Just be sure the your AGP speed/version can handle these cards if your mobo is pretty old.

Sure the 9800 is better, but it is R$1000, about $500 more expensive.

I wasn't suggesting you buy one. I apologize if I lead you to believe that. You listed the cards you were considering and I believed you. My reference to my own box is simply to support why I think the ATI on your list will be barely playable.
Be well.
