Vikings and the Swedish

Has anyone made a Swedish civ? I am planning to make a scenerio of the Vikings and the Swedish. They fought often didn't they?

I would also need a map, and possibly some units, and a list of cities, maybe some techs, and maybe even a city set.

That's about it. I'm looking forward to making this scenerio. If anyone would like to help, I suppose you could help out with some things.

There's been a Swedish civ done - try the search.

As for the vikings, they were not an ethnic or political group; "viking" just means a Viking Age Scandinavian engaged in overseas trade, raiding, conquest, or colonization. There were many Swedish vikings.

And don't forget Civarmy's Gustav Adolf LH... IMO, still the best swedish LH around, because of historical relevance

That's fine. I was just wondering. BTW this scenerio is to take place in 1800, when the two were fighting pretty often.

Norway didn't exist as a nation in 1800. And, for your information, Sweden hasn't been in a war since 1815.

I've never been in Sweden; I'm a third generation American immigrant from Sweden but I know the city placement as I have extensivly studied maps of the area and most of Europe and I have a large supply of maps to work off of. Sweden didn't fight in WWII? Sweden did fight a war in 1995; the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina and they have fought in Afganistan.

Yes, but Sweden fought the Norwegians lots. Just like the Normans and Anglo-Saxons

The Normans and the Anglo-Saxons didn't fight each other lots! They fought each other precisely once, and the Normans won.

And then the Anglo-Saxon's became one and became the English and later the British people; let Britian and became a large part of the American People.
