@ doolally

I would have liked to have included more jobs but there is a 20 option limit(which is just as well as I probably could have included sub-categories of sub-categories ;)...of course adding criminal was probably a mistake as who would NOT want to be a criminal? ;p And apparently we do have some prowling the site...

Well, there are times when I feel that it's criminal to take money from my employer for doing something I consider play - programming.

I run golf tournaments around the country and lately, dodge huricanes.

I thought it was a bit odd, in view of the 20-option limit, that you had both "government" and "criminal" on the list. Seems a little redundant, no? ;)

I studied to become a teacher but when I had finished they didn't want any more teachers - so I'm a programmer these days.

I teach at the university. Where am I to click? Govt?

Voted mfg, but I really do software for semicon.

My sympathies to everyone who had to find another job in the past few years.

I got lucky and jumped to a better company.

Keep those running shoes on!

Ivan hits cat 5!

I somehow doubt anyone is surprised by the plethora of students and computer nerds ( I say this will all reverence, if only I had the skill and knowledge to practice the fine art of Computer Nerdery) and the utter lack of anyone who does manual labor for a living. :-P

Had to put down 'government', since they pay my salary. Researcher/assistant at a university...

Me too. I work on a project paid for for by a HUD grant, for a non-profit association

I am another college student working on my PhD in chemistry. That isn't nerdy is it?

I am a Controller for a casino in Washington. My wife doesn’t understand how I can work in front of a computer all day and then get onto the computer for fun.

She might have a point there.

My dad used to say that. "I work on computers all day, why should I get on one at home."

Guess what he does now that he has one?

My wife's the same way....she gives me a lot of grief for being "On CFC all night, then come home and do it somemore!" Well....one has a lot of time, doing my job!
