A friend of me recently migrated to Windows Vista, and C3C seems to be running fine, provided you start in in administrator mode. However, regardless of how we configure his config file (we tried several settings that do work with Windows XP), voice chat does not seem to work: he doesn't hear our conversations (the others are using XP which works fine) and we don't hear his voice.
Other changes to tge configuration settings (for example about resolution) are accepted by the game so it does parse the config file correctly, however it just seems to ignore the settings about voice chat. In XP when you enabled voice chat for the first time it would automatically start an XP wizard to initialize you hardware correctly, but in Vista this is not the case.
Does anybody have experience with voice chatting in Windows Vista? It seems his hardware is fine, since using other voice chatting software (e.g. skype, MSN) all work fine. What could cause Vista to ignore voice chat in C3C??
