Volcano Valley...

Discovered this little valley about 10 AD and all the volcanos around it had already blown up- lots of iron there, and the only horses on the continent...

resources seem harder to find now- especially strategic ones.

whoa.... thats sweet if such things are now a part of the game, and not just some randomm occurence, it'll do alot to add flavor to random map (mabey even enough for me to start playing them again)

Looks cool, though real lava effects rather than pollution would have been better. In fact the pollution itself looks wierd anyway...

The other new things in the Epic game should be enough for you to start playing it again

Yeah it's Snoop's terrain- his artwork kicks serious butt! He needs to be remunerated by Firaxis IMO- his terrain actually makes the game more fun to play for me- it's just easy on the eyes.

Xen- well I did mod the game to enable volcanoes and let them erupt about twice over the period of the game- unsure if they do in the typical Epic game. I also added plague in with three occurances possible over the course of the game.

EDIT: Warpstorm's Watercolor terrain for me. I find other terrains tough to look at.

When you build your cities, avoid placing them right next to a volcano. I was playing a game where I had regicide on. When the Egyptians started, their location was right next to a volcano. When I passed right by it (3,000BC), the volcano went, their capitol got destroyed, their leader died, and therefore their civilization too.

I have made a pollution graphic, check my sig. It's also available in watercolor, modded by Warpstorm.

Your pollution won't fit with volcanoes, though (I actually think this orange stuff looks fairly similar, maybe if it was red).

Well, the modified one could be cooled off/solidified lava, I guess. I still like them better than the orange gook.
