Ok - wonder requested by ParkCungHee and needed for WW2 Mod.

by Wikipedia:

The Volkshalle (People's Hall), also called Große Halle (Great dome) or Ruhmeshalle (Hall of Fame), was a huge monumental building planned, but never built, by Adolf Hitler and his architect Albert Speer. It was major part of Welthauptstadt ("World Capital") Germania project.

This would make a great UB for a Third Reich civ, maybe replace the Forbidden Palace or even the Palace itself. :)

Thx for your opinions :)

About Olimpic Stadium - I'll try it in free time, but it won't be probably soon cause i'm modding a lot - and have less time for modelling (besides i usealy model for needs of mod). And wich version do you want - modern or this from Summer Olympic Games in 1936? - I was thinking about making 1936 version for the mod.

Good idea with this Police State limit. In ww2 mod we plan to use it as Fascisc "Shrine" - cause ideologies/alliances are replacing religions. But probably we'll not use prophets - to build it it would need more sacrifce than sacrificing one great person.

Yes, I think the 1936 version of the Olympic Stadium would be best.

IIRC, the bricks being used for the construction of this building or some of the other large projects for Germania (the new Berlin) were being made in one of the first concentration camps set up on the outskirts of the city...

I believe they used a triangular shape to the camp to allow one machinegun nest to cover the entire camp... Unfortunately, I'm terrible with names and don't remember what it was called.

Anyway, that's the sort of "sacrifice" that'd make sense for this mod... the use of huge quantities of slave labor for its construction. Both in the production of and assembly of the materials.

Quote and Translation:
1935 (1)
The construction limped afterwards the schedule since the beginning.

The undersecretary Pfundtner provided pressure at the involved building contractors, replacing companies immediately by other, if they weren't confirm to the multiple-shift operation or offer resistance for other reasons.

Furthermore the building contractors were obliged only to employ "economy peaceful workers of German nationality and Indo-Germanic (aryan) descent.

While the number of the employees still was amounting to 1,500 in April 1935, already 2,064 workers were registered in July 1935 to catch up the temporal delay of the building scheme.

At times 500 companies with up to 2,600 persons were busy on the empire sports ground (Reichssportfeld), working generally in two layers.

ok i reconsidered it and i'll make olimpia stadium in berlin - probably in both version - 1936 and 2006 :)
