VoxPopuli Modpacks (Update: 4.22)

I started using wise memory optimizer last year (due to recommendations here) b/c I was running out of memory on large/epic/10civ games in the late game. It really helps me a lot.

Probably a stupid question as I don't really understand the technicals, but how exactly does that work? My basic understanding was that it doesn't matter how much memory you have, because it's an issue of Civ V only being able to use so much memory.

I don't remember tbh, I just know that it can sometimes help me get through parts that would freeze the game in the past. It's possible that it's redundant with all the recent code cleanups, I'd only try it out if you're experiencing late game freezes that can't be fixed by turning off yields, zooming in and going to strategic mode between turns (I've only ever had to do this for a few turns fyi).
 
So...been trying to make my own modpack and i'm screwing up some part of the process, but i can't pinpoint where. Loading up mods to play everything works fine. So go through the preparation to make a mod pack, load up civ 5, add multiplayer mods workaround to the list of mods, and start up the game on continents. Corporations screen bugs (as expected) but no troops or settler spawn bringing up the defeat screen. If i ignore it and go to firetuner, swap to MPMP_maker and enter CreateMP() anyways nothing happens. What's causing this issue? The issue comes up if i enable (2) vox populi. Just (1) community patch and multiplayer mods workaround works as intended

Important note: From VP version 4.7.1 the squads modmod has been integrated to the main mod. You can use it in soloplayer but DO NOT USE IT IN MULTIPLAYER as nothing is synced between players when using it.

What does it mean by map bugfix, am i missing that? will that solve the issue?
 
Nevermind, ignore me i solved it, didn't turn it to windows mode before compiling, so game was frozen when i alt tabbed out to firetuner, that's why nothing was happening

Hum ok, weird because I already did some modpacks in full screen mod.

I will add a bullet with your advice with windowed mod.

I went in a bit more detail in discord, but once i alt tab back to game it starts making mod pack, but civ is a black screen and refuses to left me leave, so thinking it crashed i nuked it with task manager.
 
Greetings, 1st post here, hope it's the right place. First: Thank you so much for all your work, the CP has breathed new life in my group's playtime. We have been using the Community Patch Modspack (4.15.2) (7.8.2024).7z version and it's been AWESOME. super stable, almost no issues with MP.

Could I trouble someone for an updated version of just the CP please with super-settler? I don't know if it's possible with the settler or not, been strugling to find it online, but only get the speedy one, etc. If adding the Settler isn't possible, is there a way to reveal extra FOW at game-start or point me to some article that explains it?

Its the same VP with new version or different VP than from this topic? I downloaded month ago and play VP for first time but noticed lot of bugs and dont know which version is original ?

As no one answers yet. Here is my answer. I always believe that it is slightly different. Your link is the pure VP.

This thread (Agiwan's) contains many variant, for example, some variants add minor modification like "¾ UC (v87)" or "supersettler" in addition to pure VP. Agiwan's also eases some steps of installing and playing. Because Agiwan needs to do each version manually, the process is tedious, and other reasons, Agiwan's releases are always slightly delayed from pure VP.

I installed only Agiwan's 4.16.1_VP-SSEM-EUI.zip and stopped thinking about anything else. It alone is enough.

Edit :: To reply about "lot of bugs", I don't think Agiwan's fixed any of it. What bug you suffer in VP, it is very likely the same for Agiwan's. I also agree that they are annoying. You can report bug in VP too. The VP developers in github are active to fix bugs.

Try to open Civ5 using DirectX11. If it doesn't work try a reinstallation from 0, Firaxis recently changed something with the launcher that cause a lot of issues.
